Never been to the museum, but I saw the bikes in a shed (before the creation of the museum). About fifty bikes, all meticulously restored, all property of the same fella. The star of the show is a R32 from 1923.

The collection is larger than the space so it rotates. He's got a Britten and a Moto Guzzi V8 racer replica and lots more. As I recall they all run.

The Moto Museum in St. Louis, MO. Features European motorcycles between about 1900 and 1975. This is a fairly low frills museum; each bike has a basic history of the brand and model, and a note on the particular bike and how it was acquired. Most bikes look like you could roll them out the door and go for a spin. When I was there, admission was free.

The Arlen Ness showroom in Pleasanton, California has a bunch of interesting custom bikes to check out. Even if Harleys aren't your style, it is still interesting to see multi-engine choppers, supercharged bikes and all manner of craziness.

The motorcycle museum in Augustusburg (East) Germany is not well known, but a great way to spend a day. My pics. Sorry, you have to wade through some general touristy pics before I found out about the museum. Pics from the museum are pages 4 - 12. My camera failed part way through so some of them are "artsy."
