Enjoy your new toy! I understand the feeling as I had to sell my KLR few months after doing TAT with it last year. Good luck with it and I look forward to your Mexico RR this coming winter to help me pass my 'waiting' moment. I have 2 more winters before my first RTW trip.

    Thanks "whichway"

It wasn't easy parting company, almost like losing a beloved pet after "seeing" so much together.

    KLR's are awesome!

Well, Kedgi... that's a huge change and upgrade... you have surely noticed that already...
    Good for you!
Good rides, and don't be too enthusiastic with your right-hand-twist... your new beast really responds... :evil (too much I think sometimes... :huh)

Congratulations Kedgi, the 990 is a great machine. You'll be able to crunch some highway miles in luxury if you need to.

    Hi Camelia

Nice to hear from you! If you and Vasili decide to ride East this Summer. We'd love to have you come stay with us in Shediac.

I love my new KTM. I think I'm going to ride it over to see friends in Newfoundland later this week.

I have many fine memories of my great impromptu birthday party in La Paz

    Cool!

    Thanks Guys.

I've put 1000 kms on the new bike. I take it in for it's initial service tomorrow. I'm thinking of making a quick trip to Newfoundland to see friends in St. John's, possibly leaving Thursday morning.

I have Spanish class on Wednesday nights and I don't want to miss that. I'm really enjoying it.

I enjoyed your RR. I owe you an apology of sorts. I got burned by the same scam at the same Guat border, same helpers, same dollar amounts, same trip to the bank, same parking fee...same story. Riding solo, intimidated by all the Helpers swarming the bike, afraid to leave it unattended, linguistically challenged...sound familiar? :cry
I should have posted it but I never do the RR's. I'm just not disciplined enough I guess. I could have saved you some money. I'll buy you some beers instead if you ever get out to Salt Spring Island or I get out to NB.
Enjoy the new ride. Thanks for the read. Maybe I'll return the RR favour next time (but I wouldn't hold my breath!)
    Cheers,
    S.

    No Worries Steve

You're living in an awesome spot. Angele and I have visited Salt Spring Island.

That's funny the same two helpers "helped" you.

If you ever get to NB, look me up.
