That's strange. My media interrupts everything. Maybe it's a Sena setting, not a media setting(?)
You should try to get a hold of Cannonshot's CDR tracks. They are a little old (2011), but I think they are the gold standard.
The gpx file is only 17. Mb. There is one major track for each day and maybe another 20 optional ones total for the entire trip.
I imagine I got mine from GPSXchange.com and/or dualsportmaps.com. He may have posted them in ADV in the Rockies or West GPS tracks forum
Cannonshot's files are here:
But it's not the same route. Cannonshot's stuff is big bike tracks where jekaio's appears to be more dirtbike oriented.
Sena channel priority
HDA/HPA (call audio)
I looked I found no way to set that priority with a 10S
Tell your GF to shut up?
Sorry, I had to.
But seriously though. I can understand that priority setting. Media should be at the bottom. I suppose, unless you have your intercom set to open all the time that it really shouldn't be too much of an issue since you get a few prompts prior to a turn when navigating or continued alerts when guiding. Once your intercom is shut at some point, (when your girl bees quiet!) you should be informed through media.
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar, PM me your paypal, I owe you some beer.
Side note: if I export the tracks, it has the option to convert them into a route. I should be doing that correct? (Pretty far away from any of the trails to test it)
No, you don't want to do that especially with these tracks since they are layed over unroutable terrain. If you do that it will completely screw up the output file. The only reason for ever using that option would be if you know for certain that the entire track is over paved, routable terrain. Even then, I personally wouldn't.
Ahh. This sounds like the tracks zyamis posted several months ago. I remember all the small tracks. There is some really interesting stuff there.
I think I combined them for New Mexico and maybe southern Colorado.
Countdown did some work on them too and posted it on gpsxchange.
don't forget to use the built in features in locus to see tracks around you from gpsies.... it's pretty slick to see them and download without leaving the app !
(if you're favorite hosting site had a plugin to do so I would rave about them also!) ;-)
it's super easy to share tracks via email/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi direct, you all knew that, but you can store them online pretty easily too ;-)
Yeah, the issue is the voice activation, I had it on, because honestly I am often riding to hard to bother with hitting the jog dial on the sena, this means wind noise in my shitty Bell helmet was kicking on coms. The work around I came up with was using Locus pro in guidance mode for a map display with the screen locked and OsmAnd in background for voice prompts. That way everyone is happy.
I have no complaints with the channel priorities, were I designing it I would have made the same call, I could really use that HDA stream from Locus though.
...or a screen lock from OsmAnd.
Switch to Scala's? The new sets from Cardo (PackTalk, SmartPack, Freecom) have parallel audio streaming, i.e. you can still listen to music/notifications from your phone while in intercom mode.
I didn't want the Sena's really, those were a gift.
However, after the experience with the SRC (cardo) in my helmet, its unlikely I will jump back on that train willingly anytime soon.
I am unable to open a gpx file in locus? I had a new version upload the other day and before, I could email myself a GPX file and select, save and it would automatically open it in Locus Pro and prompt me to select a folder to save it in. Now, nothing. I haven't changed any setting that I know of??
clear the defaults in android settings, could be simple as that
no, cleared defaults. Going to try something else to make sure it's not Locus. But am having issues with the Samsung S7 Tablet. Won't download anything.
Something going on with my Tablet. I saved the GPX tracks to my Google Drive and can open Locus Pro on my tablet and grab them off the drive and they are fine.
you are right....something is up there.
that may be the defaults setting of your browser. I can recall being annoyed about not being able to download anything, and it ended up being the defaults preferences there and/or locus after an update.
FWIW, the openandromaps vector maps have been updated as of a few days ago.
I can't get Locus to start past the permissions screen on my android 7 phone, no other app has a problem, anyone else had this?
I've checked and reset the permissions in settings but still no joy.
