Is anyone going? Dec, 7,8,9th
I'll be there. I post pics of me and choice ride.
Im leaving Phoenix on Friday after work. Coming back Sunday night. Currently looking for a cheap campsite near the show. I dont want to play California rates for hotels.
Any recommendations on campsites near Long Beach? :huh
Not too much camping around LB, but check into this.
I think this link is more for the camping info
Just 15 min down coast highway from LB
Wintertime should be easier to find a spot.
+1. Was gonna suggest Huntington Beach also but the link is for South Carolina not Cali.
Good catch! fixed I think....
Camping at bolsa chica state beach is great
Going Saturday AM
does anyone know if they sell gear there? hoping to pick up a shoei hornet for cheap, think thats possible?
Tons of gear 4 sale
Heading down after work tomorrow night.
I have 2 extra 1day tickets if anyone wants. Free 99 if you can meet me somewhere tomorrow at the show.
Or saturday at the xmas tree lot in Thousand Oaks just off the Hampshire exit.
They will have gear for sale. From cheap ass $15 vanity helmets to full face or dual sport Snell approved helmets. Cheapest prices are Sunday because vendors don't wanna haul the stuff back. I bought a Shoei modular helmet for more than 1/3 to almost 1/2 off the regular price. Plus, no tax. Just watch out for the cheap crap.
Perfect, looking for a shoei
i could pick up those tickets on Saturday...Thanks for the offer.. PM sent.
Spafxer snatched em.
I'll post again for sun if it falls through.
Campsite for tents or RV? Don't know if this place allows tents but it's walking distance to the convention center or you can use the free shuttle
I will be there Saturday.
Wasn't going to go, but my boss invited me to go with him and another mutual friend. Pretty normal stuff at the show.
A cop locked up the tranny on his bike along Ocean Blvd. right in front of me. He was doing about 10 mph, I heard some tranny-sounding noises, and he was stopped, not rolling that cruiser anywhere.
There are some tent cities down by the LA river next to the 710. I'm sure there's room for one more. Company could be interesting...
If you're going early in the morning, stop by Long Beach BMW. They're serving free breakfast from 7-9. I'll probably fire up the Husky and head up there.
I went tonight.
The Service Pavilion wasn't there, the friend I went with wanted an Arai but ended up buying a Shoei X 12 instead.
I wanted a new shield for my Arai, and one other gent we were talking to wanted a new Arai also, so there's at least $1400 in sales they missed out on...
Lots of neat stuff, ran into a few peeps, picked up some new Lee Parks gloves, a couple of Rok Straps, a digital Roadgear tire gauge, a Butler map of Northern California, and 2 Go Cruise cruise controls.
There is a sweet Triumph chopper there that's worth finding.
Super sweet pipes.
You'll know it when you see it.
PS The Outback steakhouse across the street SUCKS.
