Mods - please dont move this to the GPS forum as I need a response from someone in Oz (I believe some of the Zumo files I need are region specific).

Like a complete dick, I've accidentally deleted the entire "GPX" folder from my 550. :(: I'm hoping the solution is simple... as per my following request.

I need copies of all the default files within the GPX folder structure plus an image of that structure (collapsed) so I know where to put each file.

Can you help please? PM me and I'll flick you my email address. Thanks in advance. (I will be offline the rest of today)

Edit 1: please let me know if the total file size is too large for emailing and I'll try and find someone locally.

Edit 2: I have no idea what, if any, default files are in the GPX folder (apart from the 'current' GPX file plus any archived ones) so I am assuming there are some. Hopefully I am wrong and can nuke this thread.

Shouldn't be an issue at all, just create a new folder, call it gpx and leave it empty. It's just where the device goes when it wants to save a new track. On the other hand if you've deleted the .img files in the Garmin folder, then yeh you've stuffed up. There should be one about 10mb called something like gbmap.img (basemap) and then one or two called gbmapprom.img or gmapsupp.img these should be a few hundred Mb for Australia

My etrex died (flat batts) while updating the software. Garmin Aust emailed me the filed and instructions and all is now well.
Sing out if you cannot find their help number. It's (02) something.

OK some local advice, now time to put it in the spot where the GPS geeks hang out.
I'll leave an expiring redirect for 1 month.

Thanks for the replies and PM's everyone. Looks like Young Guns advice is on the money - that I havent deleted any operating files, just my travel gpx files. I've got an offer to check out someones 550 locally, so I'll do that just to be sure.
