    Next Tuesday the 20th?

Sandplow & Vrago and I rode last week and talked about a low tech or old school ride. They want to see my NEW Ural with old tech or old school looks in action.

Tony is willing to ride his Yamaha Tenere old school, not sure about Vincent. Vincent is thinking of buying a side car rig, so he wants to ride with one and Ill let him ride it if he wants.

So its open for who so ever will, but be advised there will be SLOW bikes on the slab to get to the dirt.

Can anyone ride this day the 20th?

I am heading out of Novato at 10 am ...heading up as far north as sea ranch and then back down. my route takes me about 250 miles and is a mix of coastal and mountain, assphalt and dirt.

If anyone wants to join me I will hit tomales for breakfast at 11 then dry creek valley for a wine tasting. then up to sea ranch via skaggs point road.

415.509.2433 is my number if anyone wants to join me.

My route shows 250 miles and 6+ hours. I plan to be home around 7pm with stops.

Sandy and I were thinking of joining you on Tuesday. Lock in plans with email.

He's all hot and bothered by his new TA setup. Guess we are going to have to see if the new seat and pipe helps the transalp swim any better.

I understand you've gotten the old vtwin bug too.

Sure I'm in. I ride mostly in the dirt though. I have a Cal Plated BRP but I don't look for any street riding. Maybe again someday but for now I'm dirt only with the occasional road to link back or forward to dirt.
    PM me

    Toby,
I haven't been on Western Mine Rd. in a few years. I doubt it is closed. It connects from Hwy 29 (outside of Middletown) to Hwy 128. It is paved on either end, and is dirt in the middle. It circumvents mount St. Helena.

You were less than 2 miles from me in Occidental. (Bay Hill)

Western Mine is quite open. It is a continuation of Ida Calyton and has numerous residences on it.
Terrain is pretty tame, a couple of descending hairpins that have marbles on them from the cars. This is the kind of road that is easy at an appropriate pace and gets quite a bit more exciting with pace and weight.

I challenged Tony and Vincent and they did it. The hill is steeper than it looks and there is a log in the middle. Both of them did it pretty smooth.

This is Tony on the TA!
