The other alternative that I know of is to spend like 800 dollars on factory studded tires.
I had a WR that I was considering studding for some winter fun but I recently sold it. Other bikes I still have are too heavy, if I pick up another dirt bike I may give it a try.
You need to find knobbiebob. He knows all the trails. Also the DARC riders out of Woodstock.
Williamstown?......I'm in Corinth! No dirtbike at the moment though.
Thanks for the link, that sounds like it would be fun.
I did live in Williamstown, Bought a house in Brookfield so still in the area.
Season is coming to a close but when spring rolls around......shoot a pm if you are looking for a riding partner. Only have big ADV bikes right now but I'm sure by spring there will be another sub 300lb bike around.
While 12" of snow is forecast for Tuesday, I'm eagerly anticipating better weather for early riding!!!! Anyone else??
Glad to see there's interest in continuing the RedNEK Rendezvous. I won't be able to make it this year. I've moved to Oregon where it's 64 degrees and sunny today. Sorry, couldn't resist that.
64 and sunny???? I seriously need to rethink my geographic choices for housing, at least from December through April!
Weather up date........12-16" now forecasted, make it stop!
Well it is shitty and cold here with snow in the forecast. That being said I have already put about 250 miles on my bike in the past couple weeks. =) Was a little cold riding.
Nice! If I could have gotten a bike out, I would have been riding too.....only problem with putting bikes in walkout basement for the winter.
My bike was in my walk out basement, luckily I have a wrap around porch above it so when I took my bike out I just pushed it under the deck and didn't have to deal with getting it through a foot of snow. Worked pretty prime. It's now in the wood shed though.
Yeh, I would have had to deal with a foot or more of snow. Bummer
Not sure if you have seen this @BMgreenmt but there are a few of us planning a ride for spring. Plans aren't 100% but are in the works. The more people the better.
Thanks, I'll read through the link tonight. What size bikes are most guys on? That's a barometer of the riding terrain to me.
I think the plan is to set up 3 different routes. Small ADV, Big ADV and street bike ride.
