Got two of the three covered, and should have a small thumper again soon. Sounds good!
Do you have a GPS unit by chance? Trying to get some people together to go and plan the routes ahead of time. We would need at least 3 people with GPS units to plan each route. Mine should be here next week so I will track the small bike route. Once we have the 2 other people we will get together and start planning the route. I would like to have a woods route that will take pretty much a full day.
I don't and wouldn't know what to buy or perhaps how to use it. I'm the guy on a group ride that follows someone who knows where the hell theyre going!
Well okay then. Once I go and check out the area and map a route, you are more than welcome to tag along and help plan the ride. Although you are going to need a small adv bike as I will be on my 250 and will look for the gnarliest way possible.
Oooooo, that sounds good. Got my eye on a 450. I might be interested in learning gps as well, baby steps.
Well my Garmin should be in next week I hope. Once I get it I could meet up with you so you can check it out and see if it is something you are interested in getting.
I'm 2 of 3 now. Was 2 of 3 before. Sold the thumper (and a scooter) then bought a HUGE streetbike.
May I ask what you bought for a street bike?
You weren't kidding, that is a big bike.
Yeh, that might be cool. What model did you get? I could look it up on Amazon or something?
I have a GSA but once owned an 04' RTP for a short spell. If my legs weren't so long, I would have kept it......and the white and black looked great too IMO. Great street ride for short money. Now my street riding is on an S1000XR.
I may be up for meeting some folks this summer. See what happens. I'd like to do an overnighter in the Green Mountains at least.
I ended up buying a Garmin Oregon 650t. Has a ton of different features.
We are in the middle of planning a trip right now for early spring. The more people the better.
Ok. I'll look it up tonight.
I'm not the best for group rides. I spend 8h a day sometimes talking to 1000s of people a day. I get on my bike for my alone time.
Depends on the date too. I've got a wee-one due this summer. I've got a lot of obstacles before I can commit to a trip.
I know what you mean. I usually ride alone or with someone following. But I enjoy hanging with a group of riders around the parking lot or a campfire at the end of a day.
It's fun to ride behind 20 riders on dirt, the dust is great!
Anyone getting in some beautiful fall riding??
