We are starting in the S/W side of Algonquin and looking for routes/tracks around the park.
So I guess nobody wants to share???
I went through Algonquin park a few times this summer... twice with friends on the road, third time alone on my Varadero hitting every dirt road I saw off the main highway.
btw - Honda car dealers have free park passes...
I didn't go along smaller trails, etc., simply because I'm not sure what's allowed and not...
Rally Connex does a trip around Algonquin every year.....If you know someone with them or who has gone on one of the rides maybe they'll share.... I haven't but was thinking about going this year.
Btw here's the link.
Watch the Ontario Riders thread or the GTA Riders thread. They have a ride in October. I went last year. It was a great time. Check out the picks at 09 Fall Colour Tour - Ontario Riders
Are you looking for dual sport roads or paved roads. I live just south of the park and may be able to help with route info south of hwy 60.
Dual-sport roads. Hope to make a trek around the park on just back roads and trails, where possible.
Any help would be appreciated!
There are no main roads up that way. I ride pure street so i am not up on the gravel roads not that they bother me that much either. That said, the roads that i would suggest are all on the great Ontario roads map.
507,county rd 3/glamorgan rd hwy118 , elephant lake/petersen rd and hwy 60 ,hwy 35.
For more info on the gravel stuff check out the local gtamotorcyle.com site they should be able to help you out.
This help? All paved but get you some. Just stay left of this route if you take it counter clockwise.
The Haliburton Trail Riders are hosting the 2 Day Algonquin Trail Ride, there are GPS tacks we could share but some of the mains are moderately difficult, with the options being more difficult. Let me know if this interestes you.
I've done the Algonquin many times, great ride.
I would love to get your rap route if you are still able to share it
