I really hope all works out for you, if they write if off, let me know....:D I want the pipe:D

scratches on the forks, rims and swing arm, is near enough to write it off. along with foot peg, lever protector, + plus inflated labour.... then you have to make sure they complete the estimate... good luck..:huh

I really wouldn't know what to do if I had to make a claim...

Ya, I am learning the hard way. I had a good chat with Insurance today. Have asked them to investigate options for paying me the Wheelsport price to do the work myself. W has until tomorrow for a quote, but I can almost guarantee I will make the drive to Woodys next week for a secondary opinion. In the meantime, shopping for a new helmet. I have a brand new ARAI Vx3 pro for the dirt bike, and had an old XD3 for this bike. Go XD4 now? Other suggestions?

Most insurance companies will rape you on cash outs, like 75% of the total estimate to 100% part price and 50% labour. :puke1

On a good note Intact bought Jevco this week :D

Not yet, I'll check it out tomorrow or Sunday.

Couple of questions: so yes, it's an 02, not and 03+. According to this thread, http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184956 , the '03 has these changes:
Since the Adventure is meant to be ridden standing up, rallye-style, the less-comfortable seat is not an issue. The main issue, however, is a 37.6" seat height for my 30" legs (according to my Levi's). Could be a bitch in stop and go traffic on the 174 if I have to slide a butt cheek to reach the ground. Thank God that bike has a side-stand, it will make egressing easier. On a single track, the kind of trail where you're so into the technical aspect of riding that you're not thinking about taking pictures, how much of a challenge does this lack of leg length represent, though?

Most dirtbikes have a 37 inch seat height and they are ridden by kids....riding style comes into play...keep your feet on the pegs. I see street riders that arent used to this approach to riding struggle with this technique but it is easily learned IMHO

Sliding a butt off at street lights is going to be a reality, I do it on my 950 and it simply takes a little getting used to :thumb

My 32" Levi 501's have no problem with the seat height, and if it's is too tall for you there are ways to lower the ride hieght. But the seat was a killler! I swapped mine out.

I dropped my Super Enduro many times when stopping and putting a foot down with nothing but air under me. Took the Dakar off road on Wednesday and I was so much more confident that I've never ridden the K$P or Cali Road as fast.:clap

Lower bike and lower centre of gravity works wonders for the off road challenged!
