Public Service Announcement for BMW F800/650GS Owners:

You might want to check your valve clearances - BMW has revised the clearance specs, meaning that most engines which were in spec will now be tighter than called for. (Our 80,000 km engines still run like clocks but they're going into Jesse's anyway - mine for the 80K check, and Stephanie's to have the valves adjusted)

Mine were tighter than called for with the new specs. But good to go now.

Did you do yours yourself? The cams need to come out and Jesse said it's only a bit more than an hour to do the whole job so I'm letting him take care of it. Not that I'd feel confident to do it myself, but I really don't have a clean, dry and reasonably warm place to work.

How did you get a hold of that guy? I heard people were trying to contact him, and no replies.

Nice bike, all you need now is a 18L IMS tank and an 8" rally light!:clap Oh ya, check to see if the main bearing has replaced...kinda of the doo-hickey of these bikes.

I washed the BMWs and took them out for a short ride too. High was only +4 so I didn't go too far.

Maybe he's planning to strip the entire bike and wash each part in the dishwasher.
