My wife and I are currently riding 2up through Guatemala enroute to Argentina on our 2011 DL650. Starting to get tired of scraping on about 50% of the topes we come across. Wondering if anybody knows a place we could find some taller dog-bones or stiffer suspension to increase our clearance. Preferably somewhere in Central America or Northern South America. Our skid plate still looks good but who knows how long it will last! Damn these topes!

    Thanks for any help,
    -Brian

not sure what your schedule is like but i can bring you what you need to nicaragua. buy online, ship to me in miami, and i'll bring it down on my next trip. i'm there about twice a month. i won't charge you anything.

    pm me if you're interested.

oh, and i doubt you are going to find any suspension parts for the DL in central america

Thank you for the offer TeeVee, but we are riding through Central America fairly quickly in order to catch our boat to Columbia. I hear there are fewer topes as we go south so we'll just have to get tough... :cry
    :D

Thank you, Julio for hosting us in Antigua. Hope to see you and Luisa down the road!
