Loose Nut 2014 is on the forum......currently in planning.......mark your calendars for November 1, 2014...............Yeeeeeeeehaaaaw! It's going to to be the best ever.
so like january or so we going check that mud in cornfiled or everybodys vjj gonna be cold :huh
i think a january/february icy cold slimy slick river bottom ride sounds great..........IN!
I'm working on another video to go with this one but here's a whole slew of us at the Cannonball bridge.
And some fall colors and some slipping and sliding along the bean field...I should have got closer to the water whole.....
awesome videos........too bad 306dad wasn't having any fun at the Cannonball
Great videos! Thanks for posting them up.
You noticed that too? :huh I thought he was just excited to be out of Bone's Backdraft and into "clean" air.
I mean we know there's no fun ever had on these rides, right?
Ps. wasn't that Haz who went down right there at the end of the bean field video? He's a wild man, riding this on those tires, I was slipping around with big blocks, and the natural wallowing capabilities of the KLR. Every time I looked around there he was motoring right along. Must have got his hair caught in the overhanging branches there or he would have made it through!!
Yup, that was me at the end, front end loaded up with that Indiana bean mud, shit got heavy man. Just doing what I do.
you do it well sir........very well, so glad you joined us for the ride
please come back next year!
Those wheels in those conditions = nut job.
I was impressed.
You can quote me, "It's not the grip of the tire, its the speed of the rider, momentum is everything!

Hopefully everyone is safe after the tornadoes ripped through!
I just gotta share my Major Award with you guys. After this years ride, soupbill posted that he had found something on the Loose Nut 2013 route that he wanted to give me. I have to tell you that the curiosity was killing me. It wasnt until yesterday morning that our paths could cross. I was headed north to a jobsite and soupbill was riding from the Limestone Capital of the World towards the Cannonball Bridge with a friend who was not able to ride the LNDS with us. We decided to meet at a local gas station near the intersection of IN 45 and US 231 where he presented this trophy to me.
It turns out that soupbill works in the limestone industry. He told me that years ago he carved this piece of solid Indiana limestone into the shape of Indiana. After this years ride, he mounted a large machinery adjustment nut from a stone planer on top of it and then adorned it with a Loose Nut 2013 sticker. This trophy is solid stone and American steel. It is amazing and I cannot express my gratitude enough.
It is now prominently displayed in the Loose Nut home. Soupbill, it was wonderful to have you on the LNDS ride and I cannot thank you enough for this trophy. It will always be treasured. Thank You So Much!
Congratulations Steve----what a nice gift that will mean so much to you.
Wouldn't be worth 2 cents to anybody else---but will mean the world to you---and that's what counts.
Reminds me when my buddy Dingweeds sent me a really personal worthless gift to me when I retired.
He sent me a golden kickstand----I wouldn't take a farm in Texas for it---but it's just a rattle can painted kickstand off an old 1980's XR. Not worth anything to anybody but me. I cried when I opened the box---after all---who's got a "golden kickstand"-----------or a "Loose Nut" trophy ????
The "Golden Kickstand" is proudly hanging in my ratty ole sickle shed for all to admire.
Mrs. Dog said "you ain't bringin' that in the house------------OK.
.....needs to go ON TOUR when you lay out the ride for next year. It needs to be in all your shots of points of interest. Hide it in the shot....like in the grass in front of a tombstone....on top of a gas pump, next to the ketchup at a lunch stop - kind of a Loose Nut trophy version of "where's Waldo". Hell, the thing is made of rock and steel, I doubt some saddlebag time would harm it a lick....
KWC "Canadian Karl"
awesome idea......I love it!
Got it uploaded...

2:56 the best part of ride
Nice footage from the low mounted camera. Would have loved to see some footage when the camera was mounted on the rear of the bike. Probably would have been too bouncy to use though......
Ready to do it again.
