Loose Nut Dual Sport Ride 2017:
    South Cental Missouri - Nov 4 & 5, 2017

Mark your calendars - we are currently planning the 6th Annual Loose Nut Dual Sport Ride in South Central Missouri on the 4th & 5th of November, 2017. We have had a a great time the last five years - we plan to do it again next year and the next year and the next year. Just remember.......it's always going to be a new ride in a new area.........no repeats. So for 2017, we decided that the southern region of MO would be perfect. Gonna be hard to top the Great Submarine Creek Crossings of the 2015 Tracks through SE Indiana and the great forest service roads of 2017 LBL, but we're going to try and make 2017 the best ever.

This is an ADVENTURE, ride at your own risk, unofficial, find your own way there, provide your own lodging and food, no buy in, no costs, no services provided, no organization, bring you own tools, check out the suggested GPS tracks along public roads, visit fun, historical, out of the way places that you might miss if you weren't from here ( and some that you would ), self guided, bring along your friends, STREET LEGAL dual sport and adventure type motorcycles, gonna have a lotta fun, hope it rains to keep the dust down, lots of gravel roads, dirt roads, trying to stay off pavement as much as possible, etc..............most of you are going to love this ride, some are going to hate it.......if you've been to the Missouri Swinging Bridges rides, Hoosier National Forest rides, NAK Soul Crusher rides, Ride or Die rides, or one of the previous Loose Nut rides then you will understand the ADVRIDER community and how this works. A GPS/GPX file is uploaded with suggested tracks and waypoints - a couple of us are going to ride these roads/tracks on this date - we'd love it if you were there too, but it's a pretty neat ride that was all available to street legal vehicles when it was laid out.........so ride it whenever your schedule allows. If the creeks haven't risen and the bridges don't get washed out and roads don't get closed then these should be some pretty GREAT tracks - Have a GREAT Ride and be SAFE.

Tracks all start and finish at the entrance to the Echo Bluff State Park Campground north of Eminence, MO. Plenty of gas stops available along the way - as long as you can make 75 miles or so - i'm guessing nobody will have trouble excepting for any two strokers that show up

Saturday will be an all day ride through some of the best Missouri roads that we could find.

Sunday will be slightly shorter ride and should get everyone back to the campground by early afternoon so they can head for home.

    Tracks are POSTED:

I'm in and can't wait. I do recommend you get your reservations in early as Echo Bluffs is a new state park and a very nice and popular place. I will be getting there Thursday night.

As stated by doniton2 >> GET YOU RESERVATION NOW. << Campsites will not fill real for out for Nov. so they will maybe not be as hard to get. But the rooms and cabins fill months out even in the winter. It's a great park, new and top notch so all the rich old people are there.
Near by is Round Spring Campground some there are first come basis, get there on Thu. or Fri. and you'll be ok, some are reservable, some with electric . Only about 30 sites total.
Lots of campgrounds and motels in Eminence. I don't think you can camp in near by Current River State Park though.

The damndest thing-----------if you look at this state park on google earth----------the park as it is today is not there----------just grass, dirt roads and gravel roads.
The image on google earth is before they started building the park.
This is a "Brand New" state park.
Really weird I thought. Old picture I guess.

    Or-----------it washed away yesterday !!!!!

Wow Steve once again you have chosen a perfect area for your ride! What an awesome location!
I spent a week canoeing the Current River in 2015. As you know it flows thru this area. Absolutely awesome! Crystal clear spring fed river, bring your fly rods, rent a canoe and stay a couple extra days!
So many unique natural treasures to take in. Two days wont be enough. Echo Bluff looks like an adventure campers dream come true.
Lord willing I'm in for sure.
