Damn thing checked out on me... and took the frame mounting tabs with it! I would have thought the plastic would have fatigued before the steel tabs!?

I had exchanged the tools for twelve CO2 cartridges. Hell, it wasn't that heavy! Stock tire size so that wasn't it.

Just a little heads up, don't overload the box! :huh

That sucks... but I trust KTM tool boxes and their brackets about as far as I can throw them... and now you do to.
Good thing you wern't carrying any quality tools in it... but then I bet those were in a fanny pack or pannies huh?

Same exact thing just happened to me. Only had the cheap tools in there and have no plans to replace it now after confirming my original suspicions.

I was thrilled to have it on the SXC after finding only a charcoal can on my ADV... now it's GONE :2cry

Maybe I'll write a country song about it...

Hmm, I guess I'll add a couple of little steel straps around my subframe to the bolts so if the tabs break it doesn't fall off.

Just tie-wraps would probably make an acceptable backup.

No... this is the Oberndorf/Neckar model GMG. Should mount up nicely to standard KTM tool box tabs. :evil
