OK folks! Here it is....What people around our shop have started affectionately calling "Th Great Pumpkin"..

No really, I finally got the headlight mask back from the paint shop and am extremely happy with the way it turned out!

As for the Akrapovic sys?? You gotta keep in mind that I rode my '03 Adv. a total of 2.5 miles before ripping into it and starting the mods so it is a little hard to say how much improvement I have seen from the exhaust sys. alone!
The mods I have made to the bike so far (mechanically) have been the Akra exhaust, 170 main jet, raised the needle 1 pos., added a racing airbox cover, Uni air filter and a snorkel-ectomy.
Next to my 2002 Adv.R with the same mods except for the exhaust sys. it is a completely different monster! It revs like a two stroke, has more grunt all the way through the throttle and you can actually hear it when there are other bike running around you! On the other hand it is definitely not as loud as Harley with straight pipes!
To me the weight savings from the stock exhaust is where the Akrapovic is worth its weight in gold! I have been able to shave 8 lbs. off the bike with the exhaust alone!
Well folks, more to come later on this subject but right now I gotta take care of my Valentine!!!!!

I hate when you guys post the picture of this ktm adventure bike!!!

I want one so bad. I don't know why :confused. I cant ride for shit in the dirt. But I really do. In fact the dealer just got 2 in and he called me.

Keep the pictures coming. I will just suffer though them...

For some reason I think this would be just perfect bike for the advrider in the serria gathering...

Once every couple of years my mind wonders to a life of crime and what I would by with other peoples money. This is it.

Hey! Thanks for the compliments.. I spent all day Monday riding up on the Red River of Texas and Ok. and I gotta say that this bike absolutely ROCKS:super !

The tires are Michellin Desert front and rear.....I have tried a bunch of tires and found that for me they work the best. Absolutely no front end wash.

As far as whats next for the bike goes, well........ Scott's steering dampener, stiffer front springs and re-valve, I think!

Anyway, here are some pics of the Red River trip! AHHhhhh Texas winters....:heh:

    Scotty,

Is that a full Akrapovic line, or just the muffler?
The wheels, are they Excel's or DID?

Just asking, awesome bike. I got the dull silver one, but might add a black front fender like u have, makes it a bit more fancy imho...

Hey Scotty; Other than the color, were there any other reasons you swapeed tanks on your '03 to the orange rally tanks? Bigger capacity?
