Not sure yet ... Where and what time are you all meeting? Still the Oneill Exit?
Not sure if it's a Shell or not, but let's meet at the gas station right behind the Waffle House on Oneill.
Anyone else is welcome to meet us there for the ride north.
It's the last Baton Rouge Exit before Denham Springs-same exit as the big Toyota Dealership.
See you and anyone else who wants to meet up in the AM.
Dirty, I assume you will rendevous with us at the truckstop US-61 around 9:30 or 10 based on your departure time at O-Neal.
O-Neal is out of the way for me, if anybody else wants to meet at the Hwy 61 Truck Stop - coordnates are N30 44.931 W91 17.611 We (if my son decides to go also) will be there by 9:30.
XR is starting to leak oil around the exhaust pipes on head, (and a few other places ) Started it today and burned off some oil, not real sure I want to do 100+ miles on it like that - so I will bring the DS-CX.
We'll be at the Truck stop just south of St. Frannie on 61 at 9:30A.
I will meet you guys at the truckstop at 9:30am. I am going to throw the bike in the bed of the truck and unload there. I got the bike essentially done today and took it for a quick spin to get gas. Boy those stock knobbies are soft! Only road about 6 miles and it wore the nipples off the tire! :huh Anyway, see y'all tomorrow.
Once again I'd extend my thanks for allowing me to accompany you all on this, my first off road experience in Louisiana. You guys were great and although I feel I held you back, you all were very gracious and helpful. Here are some of the photos I took.
Our meet near St Francisville, LA..
Besides the usual meet and greet, I found the bikes very interesting and intimidating.
This bike was unusual and extremely nice and very effective. Enduro Rdr apparently is a very good mechanic and builder.
Motor ray brought a brand new WR450F out to play. Only had 7 or 8 mile on the speedo!!:eek1
I met with Dirty Sanchez in Baton Rouge and got my first in person look at the KTM 690R which was extremely nice. It sounded and proved to be fast and very effective in all road conditions. To be sure I was very impressed.
Then there was me and my old DL, almost 50,000 miles and still chugging along.....
I soon learned that my last few months had not done my technique very well...I felt like a virgin at the prom!! The variety of different soils and road surfaces soon had me thinking I needed to get back and start practicing.
But sooooo much fun!!!!
Altho the thick gravel made me slow down, the sand really had me going... every which way!!!
By lunchtime we were in Woodville, MS and I needed a bit of food. The companionship and conversations were awesome!
But like all good days, the time was getting short so we all split up with the idea that we would all do it again soon.
Hey Chip - give me back my Katoom!
Greg, glad you came along! The ride was fun although dusty when in the back!
Guess I better get off my lazy butt and post up a few pics (got some vids too ) might take me a couple days to get it all loaded errr I mean unloaded.
Deal! Is it wrong to covet machines with two spark plugs?
Another fine day with some fine friends, and awesome weather.
Oooops !! Sorry about the mixup ya'll.. Fixed..
Yup great weather! Dirt was dry and dusty!
How dusty? take a look:

After reviewing I was surprised how well the microphone on the GoPro was able to pickup the talking while riding!
Kevin and I were using a pair of Scala Rider G4 to talk while we ride - I have to say having the ability to communicate with another rider just adds another level of enjoyment to riding. I strongly recommend those to others!
I think the newer G9 may be improved performance? But it has both boom and wired microphones in same kit.
We have a second pair of G4 and were able to have comunications with 4 riders together on our last Arkansas trip.
I think the G9 says it will allow you to connect up to 8 other riders, (hmmm I guess G9 means 9 riders total :huh Doh!)
I'll post up some more pics after i get them off camera and phone together in one place.
A few more pictures from last Sunday in Tunica Hills.
Ok time to start thinking about next ride!
Somehow Glenn managed to stay out of the camera's eye :huh
Cracker - Down!
Please give as much notice as possible for the next ride. Thanks.
I really appreciated the opportunity to go riding with all of you. Looking forward to the next one! And by the way, my Super Tenere is coming in next week!
Finally got around to unloading the GPS from the D/S ride Nov 25th:
It was fun riding with you guys - I'm looking forward to the next time we can do it!
Ray - did you get that Super Tenere home yet? Now we can log some long ride miles

I haven't gotten the bike home yet but it's at the dealer ready to be picked up!
I'm going back Saturday, then head to Natchez to eat at the pig out.
Lets hope we can still ride Saturday - there looks like a warming trend
Hopefully it'll cool off a bit by Saturday.
IF we make it through to the other side.
Shoving off at 830 to tunica hills then to Natchez then cross over to videlia down 15 then back over la 10 via the st. Francisville bridge.
