I moved to LA in the fall of 14. I own a Triumph Trophy and I just purchased a 06 Girlie so I can get off road. Looking for folks to meet up and ride. I live in Gretna. I am currently in NC till next week. Bills new 955i.jpg

Nice Tiger! I do like the Blue, and the Girlies are the best looking Tigers IMHO.

Have you been to the Triumph dealer in N.O. recently? I haven't passed by for a few years now... The Lafayette dealer shut down years ago, so now N.O. is the only way I can get my Triumph fix.

Yes, they are awesome. Mike Mickey is the head sales dude. They have some really good mechs and parts guys. They all ride. And, they always have an event...Track Day, rides.... Great dealership. Get a hold of me if you come down.

Weather is getting right for a Saint Francisville ride anytime those familiar with the area feel like leading us.

If the weather's decent-ya'll want to get together this coming Saturday?

Chris-I think we tried to get together for a ride awhile back, but the weather was crap. Let's try this again.

I'll try and stir up a few more.

Depending on the terrain (still have Anikee 3's on the GS), I'd be interested.

Is this ride more suited to a big or small bike?

Nothing a minivan couldn't go down-a minivan filled with toddlers and pointy sticks.

    -nothing to worry about.

I can say that Ms. Dirty's Uncle came over here to ride these same paved twisty roads on his Goldwing and he didn't like the twisties-but he was wearing velcro shoes and no socks if that gives you any idea.

Fun twisty pavement, substandard pavement, gravel roads and easy dirt roads-with a moon pie and a yoohoo thrown in-just because.

What percentage gravel and dirt roads will we be riding?
I was hoping for something more challenging, kind of like what we ride at the Arkansas 500.

You're gonna have to wait until Scotty's next ride for that sort of thing.

Riding in AR and what we rode out of Silverton, Ouray, Salida, and Westcliffe Colorado this past summer really spoils a fellow.

Dammit, gotta miss this one. I'll be in NC.
Bob depending on choice of routes it can be as much as 90% dirt roads (especially it you end up going north into Homochitto NF). But you can plan on probably 50/50 mix.
It won't be challenging but it will be scenic (our hills are small but nice by Louisiana standards). Big & small bike friendly but most fun on mid-size 600-800 bikes.
Hopefully we do another soon and I can make the next one.

    Bob-

Labcab and I are a pretty easy 5 minutes south of I-12 at the Oneil Lane Exit if you want to meet at my house. Oneil Lane runs right into the side entrance to our neighborhood. Unload-then it's about 40 minutes to get up to St. Francisville where the fun stuff starts.

Theres also Southern Belle Truck Stop at 4027 US-61, St Francisville, LA 70775. We always pull over here to get fuel and a bisquit.

    Your call.

As to when, how about Kickstands up at 830 at my house or 930 at the truck stop, how's that?

Yep-plenty of room. We've had other out of town guys park there before.
