Is anyone going the Cajun Classic National Enduro in Forest Hills on May 6, 2012?
Thinking about it... but its a haul from DFW.
Yep sure is....thats a long way....I have been in your neck of the woods a few times.....I got a friend who lives in Sunset.....If I remember correctly that not too far from Denton.
Live in ----> Mandeville
Ride on ---> Honda Trail 90
Life expectancy ---> Short
Riding that little honda in Mandeville traffic could reduce your life expectancy.
Those Trail 90's do look like a lot of fun though.
I live in Hammond, work in St. Rose, and most of my family lives on the Westbank, so I cover most of southeast Louisiana pretty regularly.
Sure would be fun to ride on the Trace at night....lol
Yeah. I'm from Alexandria and have raced the Cajun Classic a few times. I need another trail bike....
Riding local Bayou Roads / River Road / Trails Before Cane Grinding starts
I usually try to get away from work on every other Friday...
Just found this thread - WTF????????????
Another Louisiana thread and nobody told me about it?
Some friends you are - what a bunch of ass wipes
Ok I missed it for the last 5 years - Alzheimer's. Yea yea,
Live in New Orleans though currently in Washington after 12000 miles so far this summer on most of the AZ, UT, CO, and WA BDRs and some of the Tour of Idaho. Should be getting back to NOLA in a couple weeks and would love to meet up with some of you guys when I get back.
Retiring from the Marine Corps and moving to New Orleans. Once I get settled I would like to hook up for some rides and eventually some camping trips. I've been riding with the Old North State Riders (ONSR) in Western North Carolina - it's too far for weekend rides:) I hoped to jump in with a new group and continue camping, attending events, and rides. Cheers S R
Welcome to the area! We are always glad to have some new faces to ride with. My son is a Marine stationed in Cherry Point NC. (Well he's currently on short deployment in Yuma for some training with some of his squad.)
But I have to warn you - you may need therapy after leaving such a great and scenic riding area like western NC and start riding in flatland we have.
In any case - looking forward to catching up with you at some point on the road/trail.
Just keep your eye on this thread and a couple other Louisiana or South MS threads and you will see ride announcements pop up from time to time. BTW here is a camp out next month if you get settled in time.
Its about 2 hours north of N.O. - http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=993125

Hey,I am on a trip back from denver on my way to Florida. I was looking to stop in louisianna tonight and hopefully ride some good roads or trails in that area tomorrow morning. I am leaving Dallas right now and thought I would post up in case anybody has a couch or recommendations on where to stay. Thought this would be the best place to post up. Thanks!
I must have made a wrong turn somewhere :)

Yo crack heads - our brothers in MS are having their annual "Don't Fall" rally Oct. 24-26.
The pre-signup attendance is weak and they almost canceled it. They need a few of us to go show them how to ride!
Mark your calendars and go sign up - (camping, T-shirts, food) Cool weather - what are you waiting for?
Go see - http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=993125
If it was a weekend earlier, I'd be there. Sounds like a great time though.
I am getting displaced to the NOLA area for the next year or so and would like to get to know a few people in the area and take a few rides, make a few friends and find some new ways to nourish the body and soul.
