    Leukemia sucks.

I've known others that were taken by this nasty stuff. That's why I joined the 'Be the Match' marrow registry. So that hopefully I can help someone like Shooter in the future.

It's very simple to do. Look into it.

His RR hit with me as I have an XRL and would love to take off like he did. I need to do more of that.

I met dave in a pulloff at bridal vale falls in the nc mountians. we chatted and he ended up staying at my place and doing some maintance and installing a tire I gave him. he was a fine person and I enjoyed havin him as my guest. we sat up most all nite lookin at pictures and talkin about a previous 45 day trip I had done to prudo bay alaska in 2009. I met up with him on several other ocasions during his travels. he was a wonderful friend and true motorcycle tourer in every way. he will truly be missed.

I do not feel sorry for the OP. I am happy he got to do such a ride report before he died. Many of us will only read the reports here and die wishing we could, or did ride free.

Be well Dave, and for all we know he could have been reborn already....maybe even one of your kids!

That's a hell of a ride, not many can say they rode the lower 48 states in one trip. Well done. :thumb

I really liked this pic best out of all of them.

I really enjoyed Dave's RR. Was part of my inspiration in buying a second XR650....

Spent the day re-reading his RR. Wished I had the chance to meet Dave in person.

    Rest in Peace.

RIP Dave. This was one of the best ride reports I ever read, he seemed like a great and lucky man.

This was the only ride report that I ever subscribed to, to this day. Great guy. Words can't explain how saddened I am to hear of this, but I'm glad he made the most of his life. He will always remain a role model to me.

Not sure what to say... Dave was a great guy. I got to ride with him as he came through Ohio on his tour and we had a blast that day. I was in the midst of dealing with my Cancer and it meant a lot to me to get out and ride.

    Rest in peace my friend.

Dave will be missed by all that knew him or had the pleasure to meet him. He was only here a short time but was part of the family that is in Christ. It is comforting to know that he is with our Lord and is rejoicing to be in His presence.

Dave, I will see you again when my time has come. PTL.

Very shocked and saddened by this news. :cry I had dinner with Dave in Albuquerque when he was in the early stages of his 48 state tour. Had a great time getting to know him and hearing the stories of his journey to that point. I followed his thread through the rest of the trip. Unbelievable...

So sad to here about Dave . Sorry for your loss . I'm glad he found love with you though . Hard to believe someone with such a love for life could die from something like this at such a young age .
He stayed at my place in Grass valley near the end of his trip . He was a very nice guy . My condolences to you his family and his friends .:cry

Wow! This news makes me really sad. I was actually in the process of reading the report for a second time when I saw the bad news.

    Prayers are with the family.
