This is the first time I have ever tried to do a ride report, so please be gentle and enjoy the pictures.

I have a friend at work who has been telling me about Corn Creek Park, which is just a few miles down the road. So today I grab the camera and head off to check it out.

It has a fairly wide gravel road at the entrance, then it starts to narrow.

Then I come up to this sign.

On down past the sign above, it continues on down for about a mile and a half of winding gravel road.

I stop at the top of a hill and snap a pic of the bike.

Then I go down to the Coosa River. If you look close in the second picture you can see the small rapids. They are a class 2 in the summer I think.

I then notice a trail going to my right, so I thought I would go check it out.

I was trying to watch my footing because the ground was still very damp from the rain yesterday.

As I come around the bend I hear water rushing and am greeted with a small waterfall.

I snapped another pic of the bike on the way out. I was trying to get the river in the background, but it didn't come out that great.

I decided to cap it off by going to the high point in town. I don't know how much longer I am going to have the sporty, so I kind of wanted to have some good shots to remember it by.

Well I hope you guys ejoyed my little adventure. I know I did. There are several historical monuments and parks in the area. If you guys want, I will be going to most of them on my lunch break anyway and I would be glad to post the pictures.

    Nice. Very nice.
Great reminder that "adventures" can happen in our own backyard.

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. The green on the trees is giving me hope that spring will get here too.
    My only suggestion: show lunch!

    Nice Josh.

Way to get out and take a lunchtime ride.:clap

Have you read about cavebiker and their South American adventure on a Sporty?

It's epic. I've read every word. Gotta love seeing a Sporty ramblin around the rough roads of South America.
