Another thanks to PM for the call-in. It sounds like he's had a tough day but still sounds chipper, which is great news. Let's hope he has a better day today....
What an amazing pic, thanks for posting.
Just caught up with his call in.......did you hear the CHIRPY GIGGLES!!!!! After the day he's had I wasn't expecting him to sound so bright and hearing how his heart sank when the bike stopped i can't imagine how that felt. I don't think my nerves could have taken it.
Hope he has a better day today and less , warmer and even more enjoyable and whats with all the rain....enough already
On to stage 8 we go
Only a sister would take that and run with it.
That grin pretty much sums it up, don't it?
Safe ride, Lyndon.
Thank you Pyndon & PM for the call.
I hope Pyndon was able to get a good nights rest. Even without being in the biv personally you could tell he was looking at his sleep pad while talking with us on the phone.
Really special he takes time to bring us to the Dakar with him.:
If anyone thought it was too late to help Lyndon out a bit with a support package... it's not! We're still shipping them, and he can still use the help!
Speaking from experience, coming back to reality to find out that folks have helped you while you were on the race is meaningful at both a personal and financial level- the hole isn't as deep as you thought, and you know that what it meant to you was understood by others.
Back to regularly scheduled programming...
I am heading to a rally next weekend. My Pyndon attire will be well displayed.
Plus, Lyndon's version of the Klim Inferno jacket is one of the nicest looking pieces of kit around!
Wearing mine as I type this.
This morning as I head off to coffee, I'm decked out in a Neduro t-shirt under a long sleeved Heartland Dakar long sleeve, and over that my Pyndon Klim jacket. Warm and cozy.
F5 and Jonah Street shirts are in the laundry.
I'm thinking I need a spare set of swag.
Proudly wearing mine in the shop today
Pyn gets a well deserved rest day tomorrow and (fingers crossed) he may be able to get interntet access.
I guess the first thing he will check out will be his Facebook page so if anyone has any messages for him this might be the best place to post them http://www.facebook.com/LyndonPoskittRacing<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
Wore mine (under my jacket) for the ride to breakfast!
I was just now checking the standings for todays stage. Anyone confirm this?
9. Poskitt 2.23:14
About a minute in front of Depres
OMG I've justed checked in did I read that right that Lyndon has finished today 9th at the minute!!!!!!!
Way to go lyndon
OK, little people, please move behind that velvet rope. Only family and VIP around this motorhome here. This thread belongs to a TOP TEN FINISHER.
That was a crazy stage! I'm still half expecting tons of penalties for missing waypoints being handed out, but if this stands, this is FANTASTIC!
I already pressed Eurosport to get him in front of a microphone, but I'm 100% sure he'll get a good mention tonight (first live show is at 19:00GMT).
Very nice, and a rest day coming up to boot
Can anyone confirm our thoughts that if Lyndons 9th position is confirmed today it is the second highest place on a Dakar stage by a UK rider? As far as we can work out only the legendary John Deacon has placed higher...
INSANE! Congratulations to the superb job you've done today Pyndon!
