Love the video, Lyndon. Great wrap up. :clap

It's going to be sweet in a couple of years when we'll get video right from the bivouac. :freaky

    Yes! Great wrap up!

What we needed this year was a GPS transponder ON YOU so we could find you in the desert! :rofl

    Cheers! Toby

Just watched your video Pyn and would like to thank you for taking us along for the ride. In New Zealand we don't get the coverage the rest of the world gets on the Dakar (even when our own dakar hero Chris Birch did it in 2012 TV coverage was abismal!) so your willingness and openness to share your personal Dakar with us online has given myself and a lot of other Kiwi's a special insight into the greatest race on Earth. All the best for the future.

    Cheers :thumbup

    Lyndon,

Just watched the video. Being a really old rider whose time to race has passed long ago, I want to say thanks for your awesome achievement and allowing me experience Dakar from your side of the handle bars. Looking forward to what's next for you. Now I need to dig out Pyndon's instructions on changing the water pump shaft/seal (thanks for that too). :D

Thanks for all your comments everyone, really appreciate it.

Just a quick note to say I have a few remaining LPR Klim Inferno's, Kriega R15's and Hoodies and they are available individually until they are gone. Only a few of some sizes left so be quick if you'd like one. Would make a great Valentines day gift no? :lol3

Thanks to everyone that's bought gear, I hope to see it out there on my travels :D

Got my jacket a few days ago and haven't taken it off since. One of the best jackets I own.

Travels? You make it stateside and you have a standing offer to a 450 Six Days, my RC8, and my 990.

Lyndon, congratulations on your huge accomplishment and thank you so much for providing a way for us to vicariously live a dream through you! I followed along pretty much the whole time. What size inferno jacket do you wear (I'm about the same size as you I think, I'm 6'4" 210 lbs). Can't wait to see you in the Ramaniacs! Now I just need to get busy tearing down and checking out everything in my 950 and of course I'll be using your thread, like I have so many times in the past!

Thanks so much for your contributions! You are a Renaissance man. Chris:lurk

P.S. sorry I couldn't afford to buy that suspension setup for my 950 Adventure from you, but I do have a 2nd interview for a great job next week!

Just found this........04:10 one morning, just preparing to leave the Bivouac for a cold ride across the Andes in the Dark!

Huge plug to Klim for my awesome warm weather gear they supplied, my versatile F4 helmet with wind stopper and mouth shield and for remembering safety when designing all their gear. Simply awesome!

I've been eyeing those helmets for a while now and seeing that you liked it enough to take it to Dakar I plan on ordering one this spring. My HJC is old enough now it needs to be retired.

Got the Pyndon Klim Inferno jacket some days ago. Hereby announced as my favorite garment per date. Should do well under the Klim Adv suit in a month when snow disappears. Excellent Klim quality and nice design - even better IRL than on pictures :clap
