Getting ready to drop of my Super Tenere' for a (very) overdue 26k service. (more like 33k service...:lol3)

Will involve valve adjust, shaft spline lube, ABS module flush, etc.

As usual I have angst about letting others work on my bike and would like to know of any input/experiences you might have had.

Before the lecturing/rants begin about "doing it myself", time is the one thing I do NOT have.

If I started today I might have it done by late spring but I seriously doubt it.

Thanks for any info you can give.

Any chance you could make over to Berkeley Yamaha? Good mechanics. Not really experienced with Mach 1.

Wouldn't be much of a stretch to go there. Have you used them?

Yes. They've serviced my fz1 and I've felt well taken care of. Will definitely use again & would recommend to others. Like I said. No real experience with Mach one.

I don't know if Tracy is an option for you. I have good luck with Tracy Motosports for service on my V Strom. They are a Yamaha dealer.

Berkeley took care of a recall on my GoldWing, no complaints other than treating me like a second rate customer because I didn't buy it from them..they actually had the nerve to tell me that.

I don't know anything about Mach 1's service dept. (always done my own service), but the owner--Jeff Leggitt--is a stand-up guy, honest, helpful and a motorcyclist/former racer to the core. Part of the showroom floor is an amazing collection of classic Japanese bikes he's personally restored. They've been in business for a long time. When I need stuff from a dealer I'll drive out of my way to go there.

Berkeley H-Y has a similar reputation, and I think either one would do for you.
