I can ride out to Astico next Saturday, but I need to be home by 3 or 4 so no camping.
Saturday, May 6th
Meet & Greet
1:00pm - 8:00pm / or overnight if you'd like to camp there
We will be at shelter #1, circled in pink.
Part of the road is closed a few miles away, so click on the detour map on the link below to find the best alternate route or to reserve a campsite.
Foxxypants (gonna try)
Daavit and his chilly feet
Please post here or send me a PM if you plan on joining us.
In a stunning turn of events, I probably am camping, but I won't be able to leave here until 3 or 4 Saturday.
I'll bring Tequila.
Holy shit sounds awesome. I'll have some work to finish in the morning but will do my best to be there. Won't be camping as my ahem feet get cold.
Gah, geez! I wanna be there, but can't. Hope y'all have fun.
My campsite is now at max tent capacity, so if you plan on staying over and haven't made arrangements yet with someone who has a reserved place to crash, you'll need to call and make a reservation of your own.
I'll be there. :)
Pretty sure I can make it over, as well.
I've got site 45 reserved for Saturday night. I missed your edit saying which site you were in. Will have a lot of space for more people, my tent doesn't take up much space.
Huh. I figured you must've scored #39 because I told Benny to grab that one and it was suddenly unavailable.
Whoever is over there by the shelter and across from our site #40, probably won't be thrilled.
Looks like it might be a cold night... Will probably wimp out and bring the camping trailer. I hope you're all cool with geriatric mastiffs.
Eesh, yeah the night temps have taken quite a dive.
I'd encourage anyone staying over to come by car so they can bring electric blankets and space heaters. No shame in that. We've got nothing to prove.
I am feverishly working on my bike, and now we gonna freeze?
Dang. Will work on a plan.
After living with a sticky throttle for so long it's like a whole new bike. Thanks for the help guys, that was awesome.
I know there are some kids who are still gonna tough it out and come by bike.
I'll bring a few coolers full of ice if you need a place to keep your drinks cold and I'll also bring a small charcoal grill, if anyone wants to cook.
If anyone wants me to haul anything else along for them, just let me know.
Anyone crud-ing after Astico?
I'm planning to go to the Crud Run.
I think I am out for camping, got a scratchy throat, and my oil catch is too big for the bike so I may not have the RT ready and the Caregiver also asked to leave early Saturday. I might still make the Crud Run on the R50, but am hoping for warmer temps earlier. I will not be traveling fast and have to leave early, and have to take back roads.
