I'm still on the fence about attending the DNR meeting. Although I think the snowmobile lobby should have that covered. I know, not the right thread. But I feel like I need to get to another M&G.

It was nice to meet you! It was a beautiful day until the rain came later in the afternoon.

I really enjoyed hosting the work day- I'll definitely do it again.

And, I'm glad that my chili experiment was a success! :-)

Great time Tom, thanks for hosting! It was nice talking to everybody and getting a little work done on the bike. The chili was fantastic! :clap:clap

It was nice meeting David and Woodsy, glad you were able to stop by.

Here is the link to the tool wrap I had (inmate corrado113)

Here is the heated grips, I'll drop them in the mail, you can see if they will work for you (you can have them)

Was there something else I was supposed to send you the link for?

I had a nice cold, wet, dark ride home and a really foggy visor. Also discovered that I did not get the low beams hooked back up. High beams all the way!! :D I took the 130 to 14 route back but was actually wishing I was on 18/151 just tucked in and cruising. I couldn't see with the foggy visor, wet pavement and oncoming car lights. Very challenging and a couple times actually a little scary. :eek1

The KLR ride sounds like a great idea also.

    Thanks again,
    - Brook

    Hi all,

I'm leading a ride on the southern section of the TWAT this Sunday. So far, we have a small crew of about 3-5 folks with a few more potentials.

Plan is to leave my place in Stoughton between 7 and 8 am, ride to Cassville and hop on the TWAT and head north as far as we can/want to. It would be nice to get to the Sparta area. From there, folks will head home, wherever that is. I'll be headed back to Stoughton. It will be a long day but should be a blast. I think most of us will be packing lunches.

Some folks will be on street-biased machines (Multistrada 1200) and others will be on KLRs, maybe a V-strom, so whatever you have will be great. I rode much of this section a few weeks ago and it is very do-able with street biased tires, but 50/50 tires will be ideal.

PM to get my address if you would like to come.

At least a 50% chance I will head down to Leaf River this weekend (weather permitting). I could probably squeeze one or two more into the back of the truck if anyone is interested. Between some in TN and others doing the TWAT, I am not sure who else is planning on going to Leaf River. It was one hell of a ride in the fall though. Tourbus described it as 30 miles of Bucky Dual Sport hero section :D.

Hey, I'm doing a charity scavenger hunt ride for Occupaws on the 23rd of June. I did this last year with my girlfriend who now is raising one of their dogs. It was a lot of fun and came away with some nice raffle prizes. It would be rad for ADV Central to represent.

I started a thread to spread the word:

Hey all, here is a possiable M&G , not quite the normal type , but I'm throwing it out there,, just because. Long ago before I started doing what I currently do for a living - We (Sue and I ) owned a bakery and I also worked as a chef, cooking is something I still really enjoy doing and feel I still do well. The Hydro Street Brewery in Columbus has offered to let me play guest chef for a night on May 21 to do a 4 course meal as a spin off fund raiser for the Ride 4 Research. For $30. you will get soup, salad, entree, vegetable, and dessert. We also have someone (Lars Forde himself) from Yahara Bay Distillery coming out to do product showing and we are working on music as well. Hydro Street Brewery serves food that is localy grown and produced , and I will be useing their vendors for this meal as well. All dinners will need to be be presold, so if you are interested please give me a yell. thanks lj

Suh-weet! Sounds tasty, John! Checked out the Yahara a couple months ago. Good way to spend a Thursday night!

FWIW, I'll be down at Old Sugar tomorrow night if anyone's interested in a short-notice M-n-G.

Sideshow! What did you do, head south for the winter? Can't make Sugar tomorrow, but there is a VCDC weekly invite at Talula every Thursday night. They are also having something at the Koi Lounge later in May. Have fun sipping back some whiskey.

Pretty decent turnout. Older bikes, but a few DRs and even a KLR. One DR was motarded. Some guy was even nice enough to let me test drive his sidecar rig :D. Definitely unlike anything else I have ever ridden/driven. Now I got to get to work on the XS650 and sidecar mounting. Sorry, no pics, just wasn't feeling it today.

I forgot to ask ya, you got a SSSA stand for that ?

Turns out I have a DP stand with no single sided swingarmed bikes anymore :2cry
