We (Best of Montana 1000 group) just finished riding the Magruder (7/22 Eastbound) and the Lolo Motorway (7/28 Westbound). Both were totally clear but one should be prepared for fallen snags and some rougher riding particularly on the Lolo motorway. More info and pics will be in our Best of MT1000 thread. Riding the Lolo Motorway gave me new respect for how difficult the Lewis & Clark expedition really was.

Yea, hard to believe you can cruise over it an a few hours when it was taking them all day to do a couple of miles! I really like the historic signs and reading excerpts from the diaries then looking at the spot they were talking about. Really cool in my book.

Yea, really cool. And Elk City lies between them. Cool spot for Elk burgers.

One used to be able to get Yak Burgers in Kamiah. It's now a Chinese restaurant.
