I'd like to remain ignorant of whatever that number is as long as I can. Ride on and Happy Birthday!

My Christmas present, and the WR has been sitting less than a month. :dirtdog Fortunately, the little bugger didn't chew through the foam. I left a half dozen mouse baits around the barn as a thank-you.

Finally found my stash of plastic screen bountyhunter had given me and attached a piece over the intake. (Yes. It was a PITA.) I'll have to check and see how that is working. Used to do the trick on the GS, though.

Not sure that'll save the wiring they decided to eat one year, though. Bastards.:bluduh

My dog was in the garage yesterday. I kept an eye on him while he sniffed around the bikes. If the mice are in them, he'll lock right onto it. He was indifferent so I'm good so far.

I've been killing them since October and the death rate has dropped off to nothing in the last couple of weeks, so I'm hoping the word got out to the remaining rodents.

They chew wire insulation, so plastic screen might be dessert for them. :evil I put 1/4" steel hardware cloth across the V-Strom air box inlet last spring. They can't chew steel (yet). It, too, was a huge PITA: removed seat, windscreen, instrument panel, all fairing parts and tank to reach the airbox . Fortunately, they hadn't found it. The WR has steel wool stuffed in the inlet for the time being.

My bride found sticky mouse traps that work well in the basement of this drafty farmhouse, so they're also in the barn along with the bait. We'll see.

No doubt they can chew through it. It seems to work though...at least it did on the GS and other BMWs he installed it on. Maybe it's a case of they don't get in there when wandering around looking for a home so they move on?:dunno Gawd knows if you trapped one in with the stuff they get right through it.

I had me one of those... This was my Buell a few years ago, but had a similar (though smaller) mess in my DL1000, under the seat, once too... [IMG]
