No problem Stephen, it was a pleasure meeting you. Thankyou for casting an unbiased eye over our great wee country, whilst ignoring the shit that all too often gives us a bad name!

No racing today, but I have heard estimates that around 15-20,000 people went to Jurby airfield to watch the classics on the race circuit there.

The Britten was being wheelied the length of the back straight on every lap, but I didn't have a lens to catch it.

Went to Ballaugh Bridge for the 250/350 race this morning, and then back to the pits for the formula 1/2 this afternoon.

Shutter speed was a bit too high, so the pics are a bit dark

Congratulations to Michael Dunlop, I am not a big fan of his personality, but he did well to win this race by a big margin, despite a slipping clutch and an oil leak (see the inside of the screen and his leathers).

Took a few pics of the races today, but to be honest they were nothing exciting, my back is killing me and i didn't make the effort required to get to the spots where the best pics happen, and I was trying to keep the home office happy with family duties too. To make matters worse photobucket won't let me upload them tonight either. I will try harder on Friday.

Finally! Get access to a 'puter! (Been a bit slack actually, Guiness to be draunk, etc...aaye..)
Our boy failed to complete the required 5 laps of practice, so was unable to race.Of course there were a lot of other people in the same way, but were allowed to race...Also some bikes clearly outside the rules...but there ya go. Never mind, still havn a fat time, helping some other guys to live their dream. Good shit.
Aussie boy Alex Pickett should have been a shoe in for the newcomers race, but never figured the 848 Ducati's 15litre tank wasn't gunna be enough. Still done good, finishing 8th after stopping for fuel every time round. Not bad. There was some talk of blowing the tank out for a cupla litres more, but the bloody things like 8 mm thick! Won't happen.
Oh yeah, and yesterday we won the 750 class at the Ramsey Sprint...with a Honda 4(5)00..WooHoo!
Better go fill our fuel urn...Will post pix when I get home next week.

Mate! We are down in the left corner of the lower paddock, on the police HQ side, there is a tasty little Honda 400/4 (yellow) opposite our caravan, and an Aussie flag flying off the annex. Come on down! No need to bring beer, we have plenty!:freaky

this race was stopped after one and a bit laps, due to mist on the mountain. I didn't go back for the restart, but waited for the senior in the afternoon, which was cancelled! I think there may be some discussion about that one!
