Got lots of pix, mostly of two wheeled porn. If anyone's interested......
Oh yeah, straight to night shift. So don't expect any quick reactions.....no chance........3 weeks of serious body abuse, followed by a 24hr plane ride, and instant nite shift, it just doesn't add up....Foookd good, ZZZzzz
Spectacular photos! Better then mine,by a long shot.
Three of us were at Ballaugh Bridge about the time you shot the photos. We were standing in the tiny front yard of the white row houses that was the backdrop to your photos.Across from the Raven.Don't see us,but recognize the three women that were standing beside us.
We've been to IOM many times, but this year as one of the best.Great weather.Excellent races.Jurby was a treat.
Your photos bring back great memories. Thanks!
So. Monday morning started early, helping John McGuiness get his Motorhome into the paddock, shifting fences and bins etc. He seemed a bit irritable, and looked like he'd had a heavy night on the piss. Speaking to him later in the evening, at the start of practice, he explained that he'd driven straight from the 8hr endurance race in eastern Germany, (Osherlieben?), and arrived in the early hours, and parked outside for about an hours sleep!:huh
His ride. Didn't work to well unfortunately. I think about 1 1/2 laps of practice, and less than a 1/4 of a lap in the race.....
Hmmm. Seems to be loss of sharpness between my iPad and the asylum...? WTF?
Whatever. The poms braze frames betterer than the Italians. And nice to see a big Yam, as opposed to the normal Suzuki.
Yep! You're on to it! My dear Sabine, who I met at Mugello in June, rode her Hypermotard up from Southern Bavaria to join us for the fortnight.
That's our humble little camp/workshop, housing between 7&9 of us in a tiny caravan, three tents, and a mini van. Fantastic! Surrounded by the best people in the world.
Is this Heaven?
Errrr, isn't that a Bandit engine? But aren't the rules....errr...??
May be the original motor is kaput? Or in mothballs. So to run the rest of the bike a suitable (cheap, replaceable) motor is used? Maybe it like 75% of the bike has to be old.. ??
What ever - they are having fun which is the main thing...
How times change. But don't.
Always gotta visit Joey
Fantastic, love the old race bikes!
Then I'd recommend the Manx for you! Unbelievable! ( But a seriously tough gig for old race bikes...as you will see...)
Reckon you'd enjoy the Guiness too Tezza! It's good for you!!
There is supposed to be 100 different beers on the isle?
Oh I'd say so, at least! A good spot to try some smaller local fare is down at the Bay, in Port o Erin. Usually some interesting drinks, and people,(!!), down there!
Did I mention that these luvly bikes get absolutely flogged, for two weeks?:huh
William Dunlop, doing that....
Gotta luv it.
I'd love to try all those beers there... except that Coors Light I see, can't believe they go to the trouble of transporting that weasel piss all the way to the IOM.
Just transport yourself bloke!
Michael Dunlop, givin it some stick.
