Nick of time.

New set of innertubes
New Touratech folding brake and shifter pegs
Oil change, Fork Oil change, Antifreeze change
New Klim Dakar Pants
New gps mount
and who knows what else I will "need" in the next week.
This better be good. Spank talked me into it.
SWEEEET. i like the KLIM stuff. definitely would be nice if i won :)
i found some bad valves, cam and buckets when digging in for my bigbore kit a few weeks ago. Im hoping to get the head back from service this week so i can get some miles on it and the bugs worked out before DV.
Wait when the hell did you get the 350?
You've been holding out on us!!
Might have to take that off your hands for short ride, I will wait till the raffle.
He's raffling it off Friday night. :eek1
Bunch of new 500's too.
Just did another 552 miles of DV this past weekend with my good friend from Michigan.
In summary, conditions are great!
Steele Pass loop is on average about the same as last year. Saline Valley Road through South Pass is still a bit rocky, smoother in some spots, the same in most, and only a little worse in a few, compared to last year. The deep sand as you head west on the valley floor after the decent down is actually easier then last year, the sand seems to be shallower. Steele Pass itself is still loose and full of baby heads like last year. The steps as you drop down to Eureka Dunes are a little easier, only because some have been filled in with gravel and smaller stones to make it easier for the 4x4's.
Cerro Gordo is excellent. Went up Swansee up to the cabin, and it is very rocky and rough. The only snow on the trail is a small patch just west of the trams, and it is very easy to ride around. I would bet it would be gone by the rally. We did not go up the White Mountain Road variation.
I have a few more teaser photos I will post soon...the views from the Salt Tram loop had me flipping out!
Sick 350! wait till you see that case saver he has on there! hahaha
Getting excited about this trip now!
Anyone riding up from the San Diego area?
better deal with it now than at the event. last year, lior (liorsmotoride.com helped someone with a dead 990 and after several hours still won't run....turned out to be a hole on the valve...
dave, been out a few times.
sorry, no test ride for you per your doctor's order.
the 500s are nice, and lots of fe570s too.
cain, afaik it's a work of art....

lots of san diego PPs are riding up.

From the ExPo board:
Have any frequencies been decided on for the AdvRider group?
In addition to FREE GIFT CERTIFICATES and FREE SWAG, we'll also have a special promotion for 20% OFF REKLUSE MOTOR SPORTS products for select DV Noobs participants. Details to come. If you're not familiar with their auto-clutch products take a look at the link in my signature.

THANK YOU BUSTER!
Got my dirt wheels with new 606s on Saturday and have just about got my tail box that will hold my tools and stuff. Turns out 3/6 of my rack screw holes are stripped, now I gotta go find an M6x1.0 helicoil kit somewhere.
I also put my new Seat Concepts cover and foam on, my butt should be happier. After that I took the bike to the hardware store to get some hardware, man it turns a lot slower on those 606s but boy does it feel planted to the ground. (my other tires are 90/10 D607s).
Will more raffle tickets be available at the event? I need to load up on them now.
yeah, Joel will have them for sale at the event...
