I'm saying IN! I am a noob to these types of events so I am not sure if I will just truck it and dry camp or bring the toybox and camp like a rockstar! lol Is this geared more towards lightweight dual sport bikes or big heavy ADV bikes? Should I reserve a hook up RV spot now with the camp site?

    Thanks,
    George

    Welcome JD

There will be all sizes of bikes. The biggest consideration is fuel range in DV. Is this your first time riding the area too? Much more information coming and read the Ride Reports from years past.

As far as camping, RV FULL hook ups go fast. Reserve if you think you want one. Water hook ups only are plentiful. More information will be coming in regards to that. Right now we have the whole place reserved so you will need more information to reserve a site.

    Thanks Jim!

Yes, it is my first time riding that area. I have been to Dumont dunes once before so I have been in the area if that counts. And I started looking at some of the past events online, so I am probably going to bring both bikes and start out on the light weight bike before I trash my new GSA. It sure looks like a fun place to ride. Thanks for the camping information too!

good response from lots of people, many are familiar faces but great to see some noobs and fake noobies. i apologize if i could not reply to every post, but will do for the noobies. vets of this event could also provide answers and advise.

thanks for the enthusiasm and interest in this event. every year is always a blast; the riding is awesome and you'll meet a lot of good people....:ricky

for those new in the area, death valley is a national park with several hundreds of miles of dirt roads. 120+ miles in one day is common. that said, you need to have the fuel range and make sure your mule :dhorse is healthy enough to get you back to the campground....:D
