I just googled Steele Pass, that sounds like one hell of an idea. I'm not gonna travel that far to ride gravel roads!

I have done that loop three times now.

It is a long day you have got to make sure your entire group is up to the task, one not so good rider will increase the time of the loop by a good margin.

You also want to make sure you have the range (or can carry enough extra) because once you are around crankshaft (assuming that is the loop) your kinda stuck distance wise if you have to backtrack.

Regardless have fun, it is a good loop (wonder what the sand will be like this year around the dune) and bring extra flashlight.

Also make sure you sign up on the SAR page (Post 5) with your contact and tracking info that way we can keep an eye out on your dumb assess when you don't get back to camp by 9pm (Yes I am pointing at the Israeli right now :lol3)

Maybe you will be lucky and someone will stage at the hot springs with gas, but plan like that is not going to happen.

Maybe the shadows won't be quite as long as we head up the wash leaving the warm springs...

I just added my info to the SAR DB. I'm on standby but figured I'd do it anyway so my dumb ass doesn't forget.

Good man, so a Safari is enough? I'd rather not put my aux tank back on.

Safari should be enough... but you will probably need to use a bit of right-wrist-restraint during the ride.

Just saw this was up. My calendar MIGHT be clear for this. If I can make it I'll try and bring some of my "homemade refreshments"

Geez, since you called it the BIG BIKE RIDE, I had to sign up. At least I"ll have the gas tank for it.
