1 week in dv, that's awesome norm.

day 1 and 2 - camp at furnace creek, it's on the east side of the park. knowing you and brian are capable riders and on small bikes.....:D, explore the areas around it like echo canyon, the dunes, racetrack, titus canyon, chloride cliffs, ubehebe crater, artist pallete, dante's veiw, etc. some of those sights are pavement. since those places are at least 60 miles from PSR campground, you're better off park the truck at furnace creek c.g.

then on wed, head to PSR, and assuming no more snow - do ballarat, south park and pleasant canyon.

thursday - saline valley - south pass - hot springs -steel pass - and beyond - that's a full day of riding

friday - ballarat, goler, mengel, butte valley, etc. - if you have enough gas, just turn around once you get to the cabins; or get gas at furnace creek, take the pavement back. that is one long day.

anyone wants to see most of the dirt riding in the park in ONE DAY.....join larry (galacticgs) and 2 wheels good. be prepared to cover a lot of distance with very little break. only advanced riders need to apply.

rob, hope you could find someone with a bigger bike to explore the area. just keep on posting. most of the best attractions in death valley are far from PSR. great to have a big bike if you want to check them out. i will.

    thanks jack.

    PLEASE read.

    Hi Joel,

Thank you so much for your understanding.

We would provide a trailer that is the equivalent of 1 dumpster that we would empty each day. Like I said before it would be $500 for the weekend.

If you could let us know by 3/14/13 whether you need this service, that would be great.

    Thanks,
    Panamint Springs Resort

trash pick up is limited and $$$

we seriously requesting everyone to pack out what you bring in.

we still want this service for whatever trash people leave in the campground and the ensuing trash from the 3 dinner nights.

there will be a jar for trash money collection. it's all voluntary. don't make nowwhat and jarthur pay if the collection comes short.

Just had a phonecall from my sister who tells me she is getting married in August in Italy! Great news!!!

This however mean that I now have to reschedule holiday/money to pay for the flights/hotels/time off work etc.....meaning I have to cancel this trip. Bad news :cry

I was really looking forward to this trip - really looking forward to it.

IMO the oem trailwings aren't as bad as they're made out to be. They're good in everything except deep sand and mud. For a while I was getting take offs from those who didn't like them for dirt cheep. I've got 1-1/2 sets left. :thumb

    CHEEP JEEP, just kidding!

    Hello,

I have a set off my 09 dr650, also adventure, with about 1300 miles on them. If you want I can strap them to my bike and bring them to DV ride if you like. You are welcome to them for one cold refreshing beverage. Are you riding in?

    daym....more good stuff

lost rider and izzieblue donating lots of goodies for the raffle.

    not 1, not 2 BUT....

THREE Tours, separate winners - a one day Lost Rider tour on the appropriate bike of the winners choice, or a $350 credit towards one of my 4 day guided tour Lost adventures. The winner will have to follow the advertised requirements for the tours, same as anyone else, and can transfer the prize to anyone else if they choose.

will bring 3 gift certificates to the rally to give to the winners.

also will bring a handful of LOST decals for you to use as you see fit...

Here's the link to lost rider's site and a Logo for the post if you'd want to us it.

Secondly, Nancy aka izzyblue would like to donate two separate $80 store credit towards any Oakley Googles shipped to their home free of charge to the winners from Acadamy Optical. Acadamy Optical can also offer prescription lens inserts for these googles for an extra charge.
We will bring a couple of Oakley catalogs and gift certificates to the raffle to be given to the winners. We figured it would be best to let the winner choose their poison, no sense in a girl winning a guys googles, or a BMW rider winner Orange goggles, etc. She wants the winner to be able to use them.

Her business info is Academy Optical, Oaks Mall, Thousand Oaks, CA. Winners will not need come to the store to claim prize. They do not have a website currently...:ear
Here's a link to Oakley's site for all the choices.

    THANK YOU NANCY AND FINN....:clap

What a deal! :clap I'll take you up on that HH. They have a really good micro brew selection at the PSR bar.

I'll be riding in but my neighbor Ersin can haul them back for me since he'll be trucking in.

Any pics of the fridge on the back of the tw? That's something you see in a 3rd world country :lol3

leaving from either California City, CA or West LA driving the Ford F-150, So i have room for an extra bike if anyone needs a ride up to DV_Noob 2013.

    Also anyone bringing a generator?

Someone asked about riding around DV. California City has lots of open space it is though 130 miles away if you are coming from Colorado...

I'll keep you informed about the T800XC seat mod. Lendon went to the dealer show in Indianapolis this weekend, so perhaps next week. I did speak to L. and he said the ergos on the bike was unique and it was a hard bike to rework the seat. He mentioned that he would tweak some foam and then i can give him a ride report so further adjustments can be made. Just trying to get an extra 1/2 of stand over height. I can only touch the ground if i point my feet and stretch....

Lendon is the man when it comes to reworking seats.

Putting both feet on the ground is overrated.

Thanks for posting that up Joel, we are glad to be able to contribute to the event!

I have added two n00bs rides to the ride sign up list, one of them the same as last year, the other something a little different. I will post up new GPX files to Lost website soon, the first Cabin ride is already on there, same proposed route as last year though this year we will actually make it the cabins having a full day. :evil
