Enjoy your ride and be safe. See you next week.
so, next thursday 6.30pm at the Dodson Street Bar who's keen? a night of lies and bullshit and maybe chance to organize a ride in the next few weeks....
I'll be there.
You might see the new bike sunday evening if you keep an ear out kiwibul, I have to come through and see tonz asap when I get back.
He paid and picked up the XT gears for me today, 3 weeks shipping is pretty quick out of Japan.
I collect the Drz tomorrow, turns out its only 2km from my dads.
Hows that for (accidental) planning

Is this Thursday the 14th? I'm keen for a catch up and ride organizing
Haven't been on a decent ride since Patriarch!
I'm in if I'm around Might be doing a quick roadie up norf.
I've just done the worlds longest house shift in history (only bloody 200m up the road too) so haven't been out much/at all either.
Think I might go for a quick run up to Nelson this afternoon or tomorrow though just to get out of town for a bit.
I'll keep an ear out. when you get to the duck pond look up to the left - I'll be waving.
Have the ducks waved back yet?
Ha well I made it to welly by 7 this evening with a few visits along the way.
I took the desert road and have to say it was stunning, warmish sunshine with the odd snow flurry.
Taz already knows but anyway.....ummm......you might see me on highway patrol sometime.
Nothing serious, they just pulled over for a chat while I was standing in the snow taking pics.
Heard some muttered comment along the lines of mad bikers riding in the bloody snow

yep, the 14th at the pub, just got back from Reefton, found a neat wee road, up Boatsman rd and then left up a 4wd track came out on top above Larry's creek and then dropped down to the State Hiway, good ride and great veiws..
bike looks really good Deano, we will have to organize a ride so you can get it dirty, see you on thursday at the pub bro...
Well I just booked the ferry for the morning so won't make it this week.
Still owe you a beer kiwibul at some stage so maybe after the next ride (which we'll have to do soon before it gets to warm haha)
just a reminder, drinks and bull-shit tomorrow night 6.30pm at Dodson st bar, see u there
Yea, I'll be there, most likely on the new bike.
I also sent Bucky a text just in case he missed it here.
Taz is on his way north, despite missing the early ferry and more snow in the North Island.
I've been sick since last Friday and may not be able to make it, will see how it goes.
Well, when shrubs on the side of the road start looking like Wombles that are running out in front of you know it's time to pull over and put another layer on haha.
Nah it's not bad. Went SH4 and leading up to some place that started with R was the only particularly nippy bit with my wet hands going completely numb. Ran of out gas so it was worth having that damn jerry can rubbing against my back.
Oh the up to head sized boulders on the road were a bit different from the Kaikoura slips I'm used to too as well but the north lane wasn't as bad.
All worth it to meet my wee niece who is an awesome smiley wee thing and has done exceptionally well considering the genetic disadvantaging from her parents
Enjoy the beers n bullshit tonight guys
Flu? There was a real nasty one going around Picton as early as March. In bed for a week at least, some two.
Hahaha awesome bro, I got home this evening to find snow on the hills around Picton
Have fun up there mate
Deano, did you say your going for a ride on Sunday? i didn't go to ChCh for the weekend so keen to do some Km's on Sunday.....
Hahaha another 13 or so years without a conference then?
Yea, Springcreek 4 Square, 10am Sunday.
We'll head out Rarangi, around Port Underwood and then out to Tumbledown Bay.
Back track and cut off up the ridge track and then on to Picton.
All in all, it'll be an easy day.
Bucky is keen and Kokopelli is a possible at this time.
yep, got a good dose of the flu, last thing you want when you have to sit in a conference for 8 hours coughing your lungs up, fresh air and exhaust fumes would be the perfect remedy, see you Sunday
