Hey y'all remember that Marlinton is within the 13,000 square mile radio quiet zone.

So your cell phone ain't gonna work. Get a phone card or a pocketful of quarters if you need to check in with the worryin' folks.

    Yep.

    Phone: (304)799-4711
    Toll Free: 800-354-0821
    Fax: (304)799-7402

Leave Marlinton Motor Inn numbers with the home base.
Call base from room (collect first time), leave room number.
After that hang up on calls to base.
    Base responds to missed call.

It could be worse, at least you don't have to climb a pole to make a call........like at home.

Silke .. I'm thinking Hunter wants to keep an eye on ya ..
On your travels... As does HB .. Making me take the tracphone with me when I leave the farm...
You can't find payphones any more on the road... Only in a few places do they still exist
.. And half of them don't work..

I forgot do they have Internet service at the motel ???:huh

No wi-fi at the motel but there are a few places on town that have it.

At&t is supposed to work in Marlington, 2g too, according to their coverage map and reports at cellreception.com ... which is odd. My At&t hardly ever works in the boonies.

yup. I ride alone a lot, never stick to a planned route and if I see a dirt road I'm off... :norton - kinda good to know I'll be found if I break down (and now I can take even more gnarly roads :evil)
