So I have never been to a trials event and being from NJ the MAVT events seem to be the closest to me. I am going to go this weekend just to watch but was wondering if anyone is planning to go. [IMG]

It's only 10 minutes from my place and my local club. Attendance should be a little lighter due to it being on the same weekend as the TN national but it will be an excellent event. I rode in some of the 1 lines last weekend, very tricky and "old school" full of off camber corners. A fresh rear tire will serve you well. Enjoy.

Bring your bike and sign up line 4. You will have no issues. No AMA required for MAVT events, just sign up fee.
All old school with off camber, turns & logs. Perfect event to get started. You will get to ride with some of the Tri-State Trials crew, you will want to get to know them as they are your closest club.
I will be running a section or working score board...stop and say hello.
If not wanting to ride you may want to help out with scoring a section (just mark the score on the card), you will get to learn a bunch, watch what works and what does not, get to talk with every rider.
Very family friendly, you will see riders from 7 - 70+

I'll be riding this trial. The Tricky Trialers always put on a great event. I expect a good turnout of riders. As Boom Boom mentioned, very family friendly group of riders. Ask questions, chat with checkers (observers), chat with riders when they're waiting their turn to ride. Guarantee you'll have a great day and just might catch the Trials Spirit.

Your going to have a great time! Please take pics . I went to that event 25 years ago but have not been back to it since moving south. The MA V T is great If I didn’t have a new boss I would take Monday off and ride that one. I’m a little jealous

I will also be at this event along with a couple of buddies. I wouldnt miss it. Boom Boom's recomedation to maybe help out on a line is excellent advice, last year a few weeks before I bought my first trials bike I volunteered to work at a Tricky Tryalers event- just a great experience and learned so much.

I'll be there. It is a nice place for a trials. BoomBoom, are you going to have a concession stand?

I made it to the event on Sunday. Decided to see how the Oset holds up in the rain. Slow but steady rain. The ground was like grease. First section wasn't too bad. Off camber turn and slight hill on the 3 line (similar to novice). Had to dab near the end, and right leg didn't want to do anything. Continued on and every time I had to dab of push legs just had no strength. Made it to the end of Boom Boom's section, but couldn't push the last two feet. Next section was a simple rocky section with a small log in the middle. Had to dab to get over it. Just rode out the loop and watched other riders ride. Loaded up and went home. Thursday morning I got the results of my annual doppler on my legs. Right mid femoral artery is 75 to 99% blocked. Left proximal femoral artery is 50 to 75% blocked. Kind of explains the weak legs. Guess I'll be going for my 4th visit to the cath lab. Doctor will let me know on next Thursday.

Thanks. Not my first time. Just can't do any lifting for about a month until the incision where they go in heals.
