OTD in 5 to meet up with the other south coasters.
See y'all in ~400 miles.
Out the door!! See you FF's around 7 or 8.
Oh HELL no.
Whammo/Tiny - You guys are First Class! Thanks for hosting an awesome event and giving us an opportunity to kill your grass. I got a chance to catch up with inmates and meet new FFs. Awesome food (a prime rib serving large enough to feed a developing nation), great beer selection, excellent live Blues band , 'movie', pool, wonderful layout; and a brand new (US) flagpole for Cinco de Mayo (:huh WTF?). I am so IN for Redwood Rendezvous!
Cool to see all you peeps. Many thanks to Tiny for having us. Many thanks to Tiny and Whammo for organizing this so we can have a cool place to hang out.
Thread started for my friend's vintage bike collection. Vintage Bikes In Dixon
Fun as always. Sounds like the meat hammer got dropped on you guys sat night!
ride home was only 4 1/2 hours. Traffic this time but the wind was on my back and the fun spots were traffic free!
great to see all you guys again, wish I could have stayed longer..
Thanks Whammo & Tiny! And thanks to all of you who made me feel so welcome, this wont be my last appearance!
Was nice to meet ya Jamie, if you enjoyed this weird crew you might be a bit too
Oh that wouldnt be the first diagnosis I've received! It also seemed like a tame weekend! Our last club party involved a zipline, giant trampoline, spaghetti wrestling pit, moped jousting, stripper pole and 6 punk rock, death metal and psycho-billy bands! It's a good thing we only throw an event every few years!
The next few events at Tiny's are bound to be CREEPier!
I SOOOOO CALLED THIS
Thank you for the wonderful weekend. Great roads, better campsite, and fantastic food. Nothing like camping and eating French Onion Soup and a 3/4" thick cut of Prime Rib for dinner (two of my favorites).
We even got to eat off China plates using steak knives.....First Class all the way
Here is the link to all of the flagpole raising photos I took ... Enjoy
More photos coming shortly
Great weekend. Thanks to all who worked so hard to put it all together.
A special thanks to GillaFunk for naming next year's Melee, "Strippers & Blow"
Here's some photos.
Gratuitous photo of my dirty ride
This was the most fun I have had with a motorcycle group in a long time. What a great location and interesting group of people. I thou-rally enjoyed the riding and making new friends, even if some are a little Funk-y. The food was fantastic!
Brad and Josh you did an awesome job organizing this and and didn't ever seem to stop trying to make sure everyone was having the best time possible. Thanks so much!
We need you to teach Brad a thing or two it seems :huh
mini trip report and a few pics here, didn't take many round the roadhouse though.
Great pics. Love the quality.
Make note though, the "Strippers & Blow" refers to me running WARPED X.
How about we call it practice for "Strippers & Blow". That way, when Warped X comes around we'll be good at it ...
You seemed to show up in a lot of the pics. My camera must be attracted to you.
See you at the next one
We really appreciate all of the kind words. Brad and I had a really good time taking care of you folks this weekend. Big THANK YOU'S to JStory for going "9 for 9", to John for leading the ride and coming up with an awesome route, and then having to change it at the last minute (damn bicycles), to Pete for the awesome presentation, to everyone that lent a hand, (Cheryl!!), to all the fresh faces who rolled the dice and decided to see what this Rio Nido thing was all about, and last but certainly not least to the people who continue to join us, year after year, through thick and thin.
We really hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I know May is a crazy month and understand that there are multiple things going on every weekend it seems, so it means a lot that you chose to spend it with us and our silly little rally. THAT is what keeps us going.
Til next time
Josh and Brad
I have heard good things about the Mayday Melee since it's inception, but this year was my first. It will most certainly not be my last. Brad, Josh, and the staff of the Roadhouse treated all of the guests like royalty. The location is spectacular, the food and drink outstanding, and the company exemplary. Top all of that off with some of the best street riding to be had on Planet Earth, and you have the makings of a very memorable event.
Thanks to Brad and Josh for hosting! I can't wait until the next one.
I didn't take too many pics, but here's an offering at least:
