Whoa. Even if it gains 10 pounds in production, that's crazy light.

If they can get the battery on that thing to last an event and it comes in under 120lbs that's rather impressive.

Isn't there a minimum weight for trials competition of 70kg?

Presumably not in TrialE, where they actually want to try and promote the evolution of the bike...

Too bad they didn't carry over the old bright blue and orange mag wheel paint. That thing was flashy!

I like the frame/motor/battery layout... it really looks more like a trials bicycle which is pretty cool. I have a hard time believing that battery holds much more than a lap of charge though. I would bet they change it every lap (or maybe the TrialE format is entirely different and it makes no difference, I haven't looked at the rules).

It's built from an Ossa chassis.

The industry is starting to get its act together now with these ETBs , i am thinking give it 5 years we will see them becoming pretty mainstream.

The technology on this bike is up to date thats why its taken so long to make its debut They get ready to come out with the bike and a brakethru in batteries and other componetns is discovered. Plus time has been put into testing it. Some young Spanish riders got the fun job of trying to tear the thing up and wear it out. With a US importer already lined up who will support it well this is going to be an interesting bike and I predict a pleasant surprise.

    Game changer indeed!!
    A few observations..
    * The torque is amazing and instant
    * The feeling of silent power is addictive and never seems to get old.
    * A spare battery system is a must. Because of the lac of set up time and the and the quiet nature of the bike it is rideable almost anywhere and any time. You will only want to get off it (aside from when your friends are trying it) when you have to. (then you will want to ride it at home
    * Charging times are long. in our case at least 3x the ride time. The weak link in the system for sure.

Not a great debut in qualifying for the Mecatechno... One rider had 5 and second rider bike quit and in section and had to push it out for a 5. Colomer on the new GG with tranny and clutch top qualifier Trial E class.
    Edit:
Final result has Colomer not in top 10 and Bosis on EM in first. Thing are getting interesting already...

Only if they start to win on ETBs , until then they will be quite happy at club level to take the entry money. :-)

I watched the qualifying for the e bikes. I was really impressed by all of them but the mecatecno was the most interesting to me. Even though the one crashed and one broke down they look like they are going to be impressive machines. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of them!
