coolest pannier doodad ever!
Actually, Ed, I think your meal was delayed because you declined the opportunity to pay the substantial bribe VA Commuter and I did to be served first!
A really terrific day; appreciate the creative gravel-road route down from Leesburg, the twisties leaving Marshall, and all the noisy fun between!
Thanks for convening this gathering; looking forward to the next one!
Dang we had rain on and off here on the mountain ..
Looks like ya'll had Sunshine :huh
The real question here is...have you broken it in yet?
Did it meet your expectations?
Good to meet you two today! I hope you found some good roads to ride.
Not exactly. Our group had about 1.5-2 hours(?) of rain in the a.m.
The rain/sunshine line was somewhere in between Culpeper and Warrenton. It was partly cloudy all day here.
I tested it tonight just to make sure it worked. It'll get broken in next weekend.
Thanks for putting the RTE together Ed, great meeting you all, come up and see us sometime!
Just can't wait to get on the road again,
Jeff & Karen
Had fun yesterday. But I'm starting to develope bad social behavior due to the company I keep.
That couple at the next table was mortified
Ed thanks for putting this together, was great to see everybody
I had a great time at the RTE. Ed, I enjoyed the post RTE ride with you!
It was great meeting you too. Thank you for the route suggestions. We're in the area a lot so next time, when we get an earlier start, we will try them out.
Dinosaur Land exceeded my expectations. My life is now complete.
Just want to add my thanks to Ed for putting together this RTE. It was great meeting up with everyone and meeting a few new people. Looking forward to seeing y'all at the several get-togethers spread out over the rest of this summer & fall.
as put by Mica, a bunch o Chuckleheads, 30+
Looks like y'all had a really nice time. Good group of folks, as usual.
Spent the weekend at the Stanley Stomp in central Idaho. (Used to be an Outward Bound instructor there a couple of centuries ago). Will have some photos up in a week or so.
Probably. Maybe. 'Cause I'm retired . . .
Sorry you weren't around to defend yourself
Hot off the press inmates

Looking at putting together at RTE in a more southernly location in the very near future to accommodate our brethren to the south (Harrisonburg, Roanoake, Richmond, etc...). The location I've scouted is the Stony Point Market, on rt. 20 near Stony Point (between Charlottesville & Barboursville). They make all kinds of sandwiches, burgers, etc..., they have ice cream, make milkshakes, home made cake & brownies when I was there the other day, etc....Exact location HERE. Please note that Google maps call this place 'Grand Junction Country Store'.
As far as the date is concerned, it will have to be on a Saturday as they are not opened on Sundays. Here are the couple of dates that I'm thinking of: Aug. 31st, Sept. 14th, or Sept. 21st. Also, this place is small; I think that we can fit at most 25 inmates or so inside. There is a large gravel lot in front, so parking is not an issue, but be be aware that it is gravel.
So post up with your date preference and we'll go from there!
Please and thank you.
