had a mechanical scare performing my first valve check. screwed it all up, back on track with a little help from ADVRIDER (god love 'em) and I'm gonna make it. me and the wifey will be pulling in late tonight, best we can do to be present to ride Friday. hope our headlights don't blind anybody... though I'm sure anyone not partying will have already passed out:1drink

Dow's bike decided to slit it's wrist and was dumping oil from a bad seal. Got the part to fix it so, we will try again early in the morning.
Olive you sorry that I couldn't bring the olives for dinner tonight.

Rode up from Napa today with Elfino. Great ride all the way. Came up the Clearwater lake side, on Elk Mountain Road. Lots of switchbacks, about 40 minutes of dirt, and the rest paved...

Soda creek store does have gas but he asks you get it in the evening because it costs so much to run the generator for the pump... He said best time from about 5 pm until about 9 pm...

And they have wi-fi available too...

If you see a smoke cloud headed your way, it's just Dow's bike doing it's best "pig pen" impersonation.

I was so looking forward for this. But last week at the trail (metcalf) my axle nut fell somewhere on the track, and the axle came out, the chain slipped the wheel got locked. During all this, the retaining pin of the break pads broke in two pieces after it got in contact with the rotor.

I thought all was good as only had to replace the axle but and the retaining pin which I ordered. But today when fixing it in the morning, I found out that the break caliper support also cracked. So I can do nothing about it.

I was looking forward to meeting a lot of nice people and riding but what a bummer.

Totally forgot about this, this year until 5 minutes ago while watching a movie about the Baja 500.

Might cruise out there tomorrow to come say hi.

Hope you all are having fun.

EDIT: It was good to see you guys. Maybe next year we'll make it.

    Awesome weekend.

huge thanks to Mootz and the rest of the kitchen staff for the great grub, and condom mints.:clap

A quite enjoyable weekend. Excellent riding, good peeps.

Going for x-rays tomorrow as some of the toes have a little purple around them. I'm thinking I fracture the foot.

thanks to JoeFromSF and ITSAGS for helping me pack the bike and gear up in the truck. :clap

Nice meeting everyone. And finally putting faces to screen names.

Home this afternoon. Time to unpack, hose off the bike, and upload some photos.

Big thanks to Dean, Janet, and everyone who participated and helped make this happen. Lots of fun with new and old friends.

Another great Mendo rally. I'm looking forward to next year!

Not many photos from me, but good [easy] riding (still on rehab from my broken wrist). Once again, a great weekend. Good meeting old friends, and making new.

    Here's a couple from me:

This one is from the north side of Hull Mtn, heading south on M-1, I think.

    and

This one is the view from the hang-glider launch point, looking out over the airstrip and Lake Pillsbury.

Mario, not only can you take great photos (loved the fender line up shot) but also held your own very well on the Tiger with slicks first time on dirt. I was impressed. Keep getting dirty and shiny side up.

Dean, an awesome time, as always. Much thanks

Loved seeing Bob and Dave, meeting Chase and Matt...and the usual suspects.
