Ok, it's February and time to start this year's Mendo Rally thread.
I'm copying much of the previous thread since I'm too lazy to come up
with original content. Organized by a few ADVer's.

Newcomers this is really a fun event. Please check out the threads from previous rallies.
Again I'm too lazy to write up all the fun we have and how well we eat. I'm sure some previous rally goers can comment on this.

The thread is also in the west forum.

The planned dates this year are Wednesday May 2nd through Monday May 7th.
That means we'll have our great Fuller Grove campsite Wednesday through Sunday nights.
Of course this is based on PG&E having the site open, which they have always accommodated us in the past.
I was up there up few weeks ago and the lake is low and no snow on Hull Mtn so unless we get more precipitation it might be a little dry this year.

The price should be $70 again as long as the camp fees haven't been increased.
Fees include camping, dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Maybe Wednesday too if there's not too many campers the first night. It also includes beer, soft drinks and snacks.

Last year's menu seemed to work out well so we'll it'll probably be quite similar.
However, I think we overwhelmed a number of people with the size of the steaks
so we might switch to tri-tip this year

For payment we'll do PayPal again but not until reservations are confirmed for
the campsite. I'll post the PayPal address when we start collecting $.

Remember too, this group campsite is limited to 50 people and it's for tent camping.

If you have an RV you can stay at the Fuller Grove individual site campground,
all of 3 minutes away. And you can still have meals and hang out with everybody. RV's
are allowed at the group site but take up too much of the available parking.
And, if the group campsite fills up (which it will) the overflow folks can set up camp in the individual site.

Remember the Rally is the camping event. Not an organized riding event. Riding is whatever you and your friends want to do.

That being said there's plenty of great riding in this area.

I know this description is a little short but most of you know what to expect
after seven years, but feel free to ask any questions or make reasonable comments.

I'm not starting an official in list until reservations for the campsite are confirmed.
Too many people believed that their space was reserved from the initial "in list"
and missed signing up when the reservation list started.

Now you're welcome to indicate that you'll be attending but no official list will be
    started until payment is required.

Also, no refunds if you cancel after April 10th. Last year we had a few last minutes cancellations
and we had to scramble to get the last few sign-ups. However, if you need to cancel after that
you can sell or give away your spot to somebody else.

So there you go. Something to look forward to. I know I do. (seriously)
