The Boys - keeping the bike upright!
When did you stop?
Right after the fish tacos
Old duffers :huh wait a minute I think I resemble that remark. We're not so bad once you get to know us and hell most of us ride pretty damn good. You know that Canadian Jorge was petty young, but he is just damn fast. Come to think of it you didn't slouch on the Red Baron you flew low and fast if memory serves me.
So what's that ole song about drink enough and who cares...didn't work huh!
Mmmm, fish taco's....hold the mayo please.......
I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to walk into without knowing a soul. You guys were all great and very welcoming. Thank you, honestly. And yes, there were some great riders in the group. I was just watchin' and learnin'! And then saying "Get Out of The WAyy!"
..."pretty young" is still a dozen years older than me.
And I almost drank enough in one night... but those damn fish tacos got in the way. Besides, a girl has to keep her reputation...
By the way, I think The Red Baron is going to stick. That kind makes you like the godfather to my bike, having named her (him?) and all.
Got up morning and it's 26 degrees far cry from that mid 80's down there.
Damn fish tacos , so what's the word on the Barons landing gear (shock) whats the damage? I think maybe an aftermarket may be in order. Well you still have the Ninja to help ease the bike joneses.
IS anyone else out of the 20 odd riders going to post pictures?? and tell their story... no wait Ladybug is back we're in for it now
Sam I haven't been able to warm up, granted it is not 26 here but I am freezing my butt off.
It all started November 30th when I bought this thing called a Kawasaki KLR 650.
In December, I found this ADV site. I was screwed.
Then there was an open invitation to Baja. Screwed again.
Figured I better meet at least a couple of the people going on the ride, so I went to Walla Walla for dinner (really in trouble now).
Drove back the following weekend to ride Juniper Dunes. Getting more anxious every day ...
FINALLY! Loaded up and headed for Baja!
Looks like I'll have to wait until tomorrow to add my few pictures to the bunch. Having the camera act up on day 2 sucks.
Arrived in Yuma Sunday to excited chaos and a friendly welcome. Waited for the rest of the group to assemble for our trip across the border.
Time to head south!
We were glad you could make it. As far as learnin' I think all you need is practice.
As well as the name are you going keep the scarf?
Got across the border, lost seven of our crew, stopped at El Banco for dinero and waited for the rest of the misfits.
After the group assembled, pit stop'ed for Burt's flat tire.
Yea, I seem to remember it this way
Screwed little did you know, now your hooked. Keep it coming a great start.
Grouped back up in San Felipe.
Sam, thanks for these shots ... didn't get any of them (does this bike make my ass look big?)
Arrived at 1st destination.
