I did a search and didn't find much info on this tire. I'm running a Mefo Super Explorer on back and am interested in trying a new front tire. I ran the TKC 80 last year and really enjoyed it. Personally, I got descent mileage and it performed great in dirt. it was a little "iffy" leaned over in a canyon at higher speeds, but not too bad. I'd be interested in tying something new.

Anyone running these on a 950?
    mileage?
    grip?
    issues?

    Thanks!

I've run it on my SE. Good tire, cheap, great handling, good wear, predictable sliding on dirt and pavement. I will buy more of them.

I just bought one for my 990 along with a K60. Haven't put them on yet though.

I have a T63/ Mefo SE combo and LOVE IT! I think the tire is the best kept secret for these bikes! the tire is very predictable in the dirt and on road. The side wall is a little soft for a 500LB bike but otherwise GREAT TIRE!

I'd be real interested in opinions about the road performance of this tire. I really ilke that I can drag the pegs with the TKC that's on there now but there are plenty of opinions here that the T63 is better than the TKC, stiffer and with better performance in the dirt. Thats great but I don't wanna lose any more skin in the twisties...

    Thanks!

Cool! thanks for the feedback everybody. For the price, I was kind of worried that they'd be a crap tire. Sounds like I'm going to have to give them a go. I like the TKC/Mefo combo, but if I can save $60 on the front tire, I'm in! Besides, I need the money for new rear tires! :lol3

I can tell you more about its road manners than offroad - I am still gathering my courage to single track this beast but the T-63/K60 combo transformed its manners on gravel with sandy patches. On the road on warm to hot days I could not fault either tire. I don't know how close I was coming to dragging anything but I easily hit my limit of comfort on slow to medium fast sweepers in the Black Hills. My buddy on his GSA behind me tends to exagerate my riding skills (I have slowed down some with old age and loooong injury-recovery times) but he was very forthcoming in how deeply I was cornering on a semi-knobby, if that is how the T63 is classified. I could break the back end out into a controllable "knob-walk" while still feeling that the front end was planted. So much fun it oughta be illegal!
Now I cannot say anything to the wet-weather handling, but I read someone elses comment on the front Heidenau being a little dodgy in the rain and the T63 being pretty good before I lashed out and...saved myself a bunch of money. I am pretty steady on slick roads - definitely not your tester when it gets wet - I dont imagine I will ever be able to afford major repairs to the bike or much time off work so the only guys I pass in the rain these days are on Harleys...but if the dry weather stiction is anything to go by I think the T63 has a decent safety margin. YMMV.

They're different tires. The T63 has shorter knoobies and they're spaced closer together.

OK, you characters. I ordered one of these up to replace the TKC that's on there now, to go with my brand-new Mefo on the back....

I cannot believe that I'm having a tire discussion--about tires I'm actually putting on the bike--in the middle of February!

    Thanks for all the help.

Not to continue another tire thread, but how would it compare to a Karoo2 front. I am pretty happy with the Karoo, but always looking for something better and cheaper.

Wow. Got the T63 mounted up today and I was surprised at how much shorter the knobs are than the TKC 80 it replaced. Brand new the knobs are shorter than the ~3500 mile TKC....

    I guess we will see!

When I got my first T63 I was disappointed when I saw the little short knobs,And thought this tire is going to suck.Boy how I was wrong.
