Yay? Some of the hysterical comments on Freep are hilarious.

I'd much rather have legal lane splitting.

It won't affect me. I bought my first helmet in 1957, long before there were helmet laws.

Even if the helmet weren't required here I'd wear one 99% of the time just to protect from bugs, wind, noise, and other flying crap. Anyone else notice that in states where helmets are not required, the ones riding without are usually violating at least half-a-dozen commonsense safety rules too?

Atleast an old guy on a bike, is less dangerous then a car.

Democrat Governor vetoed this once or twice. She vowed to repeal conceal carry too. Now she is gone.

Will be good for the state, they could use more tourism $.

Then why write anything at all? Why take the time to type or read posts about other places? Hell why look at the national or international section of the newspaper?

How so? It's not like MI is know as an amazing riding destination. Hot, humid and bug filled in the summer, frozen in the winter and pretty flat.

That's what we tell all of the Californicators so they don't come around and spoil everything.

Michigan has more miles of designated trail/singletrack than any other state in the Union . . . uhh . . . I mean it's a horrible place to ride. Stay away. Far, far away.
