hahaha true this one is behind but I post more stuff here than on our own blog or FF and Insta. Just takes more effort to get wifi to upload the photos and Smugmug and, blah, blah, beer! :lol3

She shows them to me, someone needs to be the scout :lol3:hide
I take photos of any subject and most people know I am taking photos of them. I walk around and make eye contact and most I ask for photos. But then sometimes the scene as a whole just makes a nice picture and I will snap it, I am not going to wait to ask them. Also sometimes when you ask people they want to look good for the photo or pose and that's a shitty photo.

Some interesting things about Costa Rica. Some local Costa Ricans told us pedestrians are called “targets.” and speed bumps are referred to as “son muertos” (they are) dead people.”

Costa Ricans call themselves ticos (males) and ticas (females). Ticos often refer to their significant others as their “media naranja”.
Which means “the other half of their orange.

The place is simply amazing. In such a small country there are mountains, volcanos, beautiful lakes, waterfalls and super cool roads to ride and the best beaches.

Just a few reasons why Costa Rica is such a beaut to explore on motorcycle. And the landscapes are mindblowing stuff
"Costa Rica hosts more than 5% of the world’s biodiversity even though its landmass only takes up .03% of the planet's surface.
Bug-phobist heaven! There are about 750,000 species of insects that live in Costa Rica, including about 20,000 different types of spiders! More than 10% of the worlds butterflies live here.
Costa Rica is one of the most valued environmental countries to travel. Approximately 25% of the country has protected forests and reserves. There are more than 100 different protected areas to visit."

Don't be too angry with me but yes :D

Make no mistake Mexico and Colombia is still our top 4 countries but Colombia just edges out on Mexico. The people are absolutely incredible not even the police are shit. And it's save and you can ride anywhere and there's so much variety to see. I can live here if my damn Spanish was not so shit :D

    This is interesting stuff.
On December 1, 1948, President José Figueres Ferrer of Costa Rica abolished the military of Costa Rica after victory in the civil war in that year. In a ceremony in the Cuartel Bellavista, Figueres broke a wall with a mallet symbolizing an end to Costa Rica's military spirit. ... Costa Rica maintains Police Guard forces.
Locals told us they were very proud not to have an army and that their government rather spend the money on infrastructure than wars. But I heard the USA is on sand by to CR if ever they would need an army.

More bridges and beautiful rivers to cross.

Not since the Copper Canyon and some roads in Guatemala have we enjoyed so many farking cool dirt roads! Nothing straight, all the dirt were twisties and river crossing and .....just soo much fun!

What's the fastest thing on a Friday afternoon in Costa Rica? Yes a Palm Oil plantation truck! :lol3:drink

It's beer time! We had to haul ass to stay in front of this truck and out of the suffocating dust.
