There have been several times that I've almost gone after it on my days off, but riding straight through DC & B-more and back in one shot is one helluva lotta traffic for one day. :puke1

Maybe when I have another reason to be up there... :deal

I think the concept is great & that there's a lot of guys in VA/southern MD who will move it. It's just gotta get 1 city closer first...

I have built it and nobody has come!
If I move the snail south, closer to VA & S. MD , do you all think the snail will do anything?

I can tell you that should it make it to the eastern shore it will move. I would like ot go after it, but have no desire to deal with the traffic west of teh bridge just for a tag game.

Where's all the MD tag players???:huh Can't one of you guys go for it? Hell, if it wasn't so far away, and near a major metropolitan area, I'd go for it.

The reason I placed it near Havre De Grace, is that it is a stones throw from PA DE and the Eastern Shore, and not in a metropolitan area.

I would have to drive through B-more to get it and riding in cities just aint fun. Once it makes its way away from that congestion I will be interested.

You could always GPS it through northern Baltimore county and Harford county to Havre De Grace, which I have done from Hampstead. It is nice twisty ride through mostly beautiful countryside, with only some congestion around Belair.

I have a couple free days here Wed and Thu. I might have to pick it up after all. At least try to get this tag moving.

I have never been there and don't use a GPS, but I will at least go and do my best trying to find it.

I could not find the Holy Snail. I don't know if I was bruced and someone else is going to post the tag or if perhaps someone else picked it up. Anyways, here is the potential tag. If this is good, then expect the new tag in a day or so. (I know, within 48 hours) 250 mile round trip to pick this bad boy up.

There is no fear of being bruced I think, because the snail has been sitting there for a very long time. I'll bet landscapers grabbed it when they were cleaning up that area and planting for the spring. I will create a new snail soon (maybe I should turn the mascot into a greyhound instead, so it moves a bit faster? ). 250 miles, that was a haul, hopfully it was a nice ride on that great bike?:beer

I thought that might happen. Can he pick a new mascot? I think this game will get rolling now. I almost came for it last Friday but I was greedy and grabbed 2 in PA instead.

It was an awesome ride. I found the tag by riding around until I found that damn water tower first. I really dug the back roads coming home. I didnt use a map or PS, I just struck out westward until I eventually hit 15. I have plans to move the new tag to some sick twisty roads in another state. Getting it will be fun for you guys.
