The tag sits for over 4 months and I get Bruced by 15 minutes!?!?!
My second bruce in less than 4 days (see Philly TOR) :baldy

+1 on the landscapers swiping the most holy of mollusks

Nah, I posted tag just before 6pm, a lot longer than 15 minutes. Not that that makes it any better. I spent the nearly 3 hour trip home wondering if I would get bruced. I if it is any consolence, that is a bad ass bike there man.

OK boys and girls...you asked for it. I hit the road today hoping it wouldn't rain. Fortune was kind and I cranked out some miles in one of my favorite riding spots to get to the tag location...which is here...

Then to the top of the mountain to get the tag photo...which is this...

If you get the tag, this is the view you are rewarded with...

Some clues for you. I am not into making people guess where things are. Kings Gap is northeast of Shippensburg PA and northwest of Gettysburg. Be careful on the road to the tag, it is narrow and shared by all sorts of park users. If you hit it during the week, it is empty. Limit is 25 on it. The riding to get there is unreal. YOU WILL HAVE FUN ON THESE ROADS! I swear it is true.

If you see this guy out there, wave. He likes being noticed...

What a great place to ride to! I'd ride all the way there for the veiw alone, but it sounds like the trip there is well worth it too.

    Rocking Tag!
    :thumb

FYI.......I will get-make a new mascot this weekend. Wonder what the landscaper thought when he found a jewel encrusted snail in the flower bed?

I should point out that it is only the last 3 miles inside the park that you need to watch your speed.

The ride is worthwile regardless of the tag. You could spend a few days in the Micheaux State Forest alone on different paved and dirt roads, all of which are fun to ride.:deal

I think that groundskeeper made the score of a lifetime. I mean, who wouldn't want a jewel encrusted snail? :rofl

Is or will there be a new mascot? Kind of nice to have one in games that can cover a good distance.

If you nab this tag you are welcome to introduce a new mascot. First come, first served.

    Alternative energy, anyone?[IMG]

Clues in photo should be more than enough. Plenty of nice riding in the area.
Still no mascot at the location, I just didn't find anything with the appropriate gravitas. Anybody have any suggestions? Replace the snail? Other mollusks?

Remember back in '81 taking my 4th graders to visit that place for a field trip and they took us up to the generating plant roof to see the spillway. Some kids wanted to hang over the rail for a better look. Me, i couldn't get within 5 ft of it!:eek1

Here is the new mascot who is related to the Maryland crab, but not a direct desendent. He will be hitting the road soon.

Cool idea for a game. I made the grab today while doing the MD tag, but I won't be able to drop within the 48 hour window, so I'm going to hold the photo for a day or 2 before posting. Hopefully I won't get bruce'd.
