This is a pity grab--I felt bad that no one wanted to visit Lakota's alma mater.... :-)

    Abandoned in August >click<
"#7 - The mascot is optional. If it has been placed at a tag location, please make an effort to place it in your new tag location. If circumstances don't allow for that (because it is in a public space etc) then a photo of the tag location and your bike will suffice."

Nice drop. I have a day off middle of next week. If this is still here I will probably run down and grab it.

    New Tag
Almost three years ago I grabbed the Mid Atlantic TOR Orange (I do miss the mascot of this game). This tag is in continuance of that tag, post 975, John Martin's Rock House.
    The tag
    [IMG]
    History of the tag
n 1781 when the Tories had their headquarters in a cave known as Tories Den, on the north side of the Sauratown mountains just south of the Rock House, John Martin, along with Joseph Cloud, Joshua Cox, and others under the command of Major Winston, attacked and killed all but one of the Tories.
Stories say the Tories attacked and raided the rock house looking for food. Supposedly the Tories also kidnapped one of Martins daughters. A sentry on patrol around the house one night spotted a campfire. The sighting led to Martin locating the Tories Den.

Here is the view looking towards Tories Den

@KingJarhead thanks for the heads up and arm twist.

Grabbed Tory Den Access @ Hanging Rock State Park close to Danbury, NC.

Headed to Danbury for a bite to eat and then going looking for a new tag.

They were meeting here in 1755, twenty years before "The Shot Heard Around The World" in 1775. 261 years of history on these grounds. Five churches have been built at this location. The one pictured is from 1802. It is open to the public, take a look inside when you grab the tag.
