Hey guys. I'm going to do Cannonshots UPAT over July 4th weekend anybody else here done it ?
You'll need a pretty long weekend to do all of it....
Dyno that's great that you've done this. Is this trip even worth doing on a small bike, it looks like alot of road riding for a small bike, I'm kind of looking for a rough offroad type of track,
There are big bike and small bike tracks. You'll find plenty of small stuff to keep you busy. No one ever stops in the tight stuff to take pictures. They're too busy pondering the consequence of jettisoning the tent, sleeping bag and luggage.
I think it works out to be close to 1400 miles. I did a modified version in 2011 that was like 1100 miles.
Well I'll only have 4 days so what do you guys think ?
Was thinking of trailering maybe to somewhere around Newberry or Paradise and hit mostly the north side up to the Keewenau down to lake of the clouds and back. As this seems like it would be the most interesting ride for time... I've been in the U.P. alot so I know alot of the areas pretty well. It's just always in the winter on sleds...
I just have no idea how long it will take on small bikes and how many miles a day you roughly cover... any ideas on where I should start ?
Season Has Started
I appoligise for the late post ! I had it in the wrong thread .........
I think if I was limited to abut four days I'd take the ferry over to Manitowoc and ride the Northern Wisconsin Adventure Trail instead.
Or, you could ride the Wisconsin Michigan Adventure Trail.
I hear they are both great rides.
WOW, Dave took the shiney bike out in the salt, suprised he can decide which bike to ride theses days Good stuff for moving it along guys, great riding weather.
I rode the Orange one Saturday.
I'm scared now.........:eek1
But in a good way right?
40's this weekend ........?
Grab, tag and pics to come soon
and the tag, if people don't recognize it I can give clues
Clues please. Im going riring today but have no idea where this one is.
In Bay City - sometimes referred to as a giant toilet seat
that with Google should get you there :)
now that is a nice sexy new shiny bike
Thanks. Just trying to get some miles on it to break it in.
Anyway, new tag...
Wow that's cool I never knew !
It's a real nice park. Too nice for a minor league team really. I've probably been to about 10 games there and they have lost every game! lol Still, it's a fun atmosphere. Pro ball is boring and expensive, but the minors are always fun. I'd imagine it's what baseball was like many years ago before all the players started caring about money more than the love of the game.
Anyway, go get that tag!
